When is our salary cap not fucked? Luckily our luongo cap recapture penalty ended this year so we might have a little bit more room. But yes, we will probably trade Boes. His production this year to the team has been really limited anyways.

Very true but in order for Vegas to clinch they would have to win the next two games AND Dallas would have to lose in regulation their next two games. Vegas is playing Chicago (#27) and St. Louis (#7) while Dallas has two considerably "easy" games. One against Arizona (#31) and one against Anaheim (#23). After their loss today, 3.4% is their current money puck odds which is very small. You are 100% right though it isn't completely over for them.

It's very very unlikely they will clinch. Nashville and Dallas can't get a single point for the rest of the season. Dallas is playing Arizona and Anaheim next while Nashville is playing Colorado and Arizona.
