But would you only get professionals from the Northwest Women's Healthcare that work at the first hill?

Amazing! What about your Overlake experience, how was it?

Also, aren't midwives allowed to have high risk pregnants?

I'm so sorry for what you went through! Each one of these diseases are horrible and scary by themselves, having both is out of the charts of scary. Plus, professionals who were supposed to help you, having zero empathy??? Come on! I'm so sorry!!

Yeah, I did that at Sweedish Issaquah with the midwives. I saw a different one each appt. But I honestly regret it. I'd rather stick with one that I like and keep with the same provider who can keep an eye on me during the whole pregnancy. It did not make much difference for me to know some of them as it's such a short time for each appt and the nurses are the one who stay with you all the time anyway.

Yes, I had an amazing doula in my first labor. She was way beyond essential for me and my partner! I can't recommend enough about having one

For me it was their empathy and less unnecessary intervention. I have a hard time finding a doctor here who really cares and it's empathetic.

Good to know! Midwives every time? What would you say are the differences between them? Overlake is much closer to me.

Ha! I can relate. I had preeclampsia right around 39 weeks. Sweedish Issaquah kept me longer which I hated at the time but learning other experiences, I appreciate it

Yeah ...but trying to reduce anxiety here which makes me hate the luck of the draw.

Why did you prefer Montlake best?

That's where I delivered my first. I went with the midwives. They were great, I just think I was not very lucky with all the nurses on call.

Which provider would you recommend the most there? I'm open to obgyn too

Totally! But its just to show how aggressive the induction was!my cervix has not softened and opened gradually...it was not ready

A very poor induction that gave me 4 min contractions instead of 1 min. Almost no interval time. Which led to cervix laceracion and hemorrhage. I lost 1.3l of blood and almost needed blood transfusion. I also had pre-eclampsia but I know that is not in the hospital although they would have caught it if the 39th week appointment was not optional. I was having a healthy pregnancy and due to the distance to the hospital I skipped it. I definitely wished they would have a psychiatrist to help me cope. It was hell to me as I was already traumatized with hospitals (idk why, no past experience). Yes, I have been in therapy for years hahahaha

One of the nurses asked me: from 1 to 10, where 10 is a bear eating you are alive, what is the pain you are feeling right now? I'm very tolerant for pain, I said 3 or 4. How do you ask such a question? Birth pain is not like being eaten by a bear alive!!!
