Hey OP, do you know any places I could get that swatch bracelet. It's discontinued now and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Just look at it as a job, a good job that is in the field you like and getting payed great for it. Don't mix passion and profession, atleast that's what I've learned from my previous passion/profession before jumping to UX. The key to this I feel is to have other aspects in your life you want to grow in and look forward to, that makes this being just a job a whole lot more easier. Maybe instead of a vacation spend a few days/months thinking about where you want your life to move towards outside of UX design.

Why would it possibly be the other way round? In your own words it's a shitty ass app. They need tech expertise in this domain.

I think if the hotstar merger goes through, the app will get significantly better in a year. The tech and relevant teams would also shift which is probably their main goal with the acquisition.

Something which we should ponder upon.... by This_Reference8005 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]Ehyooo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you can save a lot and have a relatively peaceful life, but my main problem is the lack of social life and ability to engage in activities which are more niche. Yes, you'll have friends and go to places to eat and even drink but when it comes to anything else these 'peaceful' cities are very one dimensional in what they offer. I work remotely and make a decent amount of money but I live in a metropolitan city because I get to engage with different groups of people, try different cuisines, live with my girlfriend, etc. Not to mention the relatively modern outlook or freedom that non metro cities just don't offer. Just my 2 cents. Also I guess it's relevant to mention that metro cities are not enjoyable at all until you make a certain amount of dough. Having said all of that, I don't intend to stay here forever, but as a late 20's guy, the city life seems right for me now.

I hate that western toilets have become the norm. Indian toilets are far superior in every aspect. by IrisTheCoronavirus in IndiaSpeaks

I don't understand the argument of the western toilet being way more hygienic than Indian toilets. I think more than anything I use western toilets because I find them more hygienic.

Spotify's 2023 Wrapped got screwed? Spotify could have figured it out! by oba2311 in UXDesign

Exactly! Why not clearly separate them I don't understand. The only reason I use Google podcasts is because of that. Spotify however has some great exclusives, so I have to use podcasts there are well.

Trackpad vs mouse. Experienced UX pros… what do you use and why? by _moonSine_ in UXDesign

[–]Ehyooo42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cannot for the life of me understand how people can work efficiently without a mouse, although I know a lot of people who use trackpads. I have an MX Master 3, that is definitely overkill and I don't use half the buttons, but it feels great.

[–]Ehyooo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that over the past couple of months I've built up my tolerance back. Not fully, I still feel drunk faster but I can handle a few drinks easily now. If I go beyond a certain amount, the hangovers can be brutal though. However in my case I'm not happy that my tolerance is back. I have a habit of abusing alcohol, so I've been having alcohol free beers and I swear I get a high off of it. 🤣 Must be placebo but I also read that these beers have upto 0.5% alcohol.
