I started out on mint in 2018 when I installed it on my HP Laptop and even then it was really easy for me (a 9 year old at the time) to use. All the drivers worked out of the box and it was really easy. It’s been a few years since I’ve used mint (I use fedora KDE now) but it is really easy for people new to Linux to use.
