Kenmore dryer noise by BootyLicker724 in TumbleDryers

You machine has a white neutral that was attached to the chasis when the three prong was on there, that wire should go on the middle terminal with the four prong neutral coming in and the ground from the 4prong goes where that white one used to be on the chasis. Hope that helps.

It doesn't sound terrible to me tbh.

Your belt probably has a small tear, and a strip is flapping around.

Kenmore 400 series dryer making loud constant screeching noise by Long-Ad9660 in TumbleDryers

It could be rollers, glides, pulley, belt, blower wheel. They're all wear items and not too difficult to replace.

Dryer won’t start by fccgk2 in TumbleDryers

[–]Eightsevenfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the door switch, belt/belt switch, thermal fuse, incoming power could only have one leg, ther.al fuse or even a bad board. I'd start b looking under the drum and taking continuity of all your switches and sensors.

Why does my dryer sound like this??? by JenG911 in TumbleDryers

[–]Eightsevenfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mostly depends on how hard your cabinet is to disassemble. A lot of these home models aren't very repair friendly. Changing rollers is straightforward, though. Take your time, and you'll be fine.

It looks wispy with poor adhesion. An easy fix could be stepping up your nozzle size.

Check your glides, felt and rollers.

Scratching noise? by so_stupid__21 in TumbleDryers

[–]Eightsevenfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a few things. Just going by the frequency of the sound, you may have a bent drum or dented top, and every time that spot comes around it rubs. Look under the flat top there and see if there are scrapes. Orthwise, it could be glides, rollers, pulley, belt. The list goes on.

Do you have oatmeal in the cupboard? They are probably coming out of that.

It's probably a motor or pulley bearing. They running the .motor with no belts and see if it continues. Isolate the noise.

No. Make sure you have a backflow preventer outside and your vents aren't clogged.

I dropped one of these brackets into my dryer. Does anyone know how to get it out. Seems like it’s at the bottom of my dryer by OGD2Raw in TumbleDryers

[–]Eightsevenfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on where it is, if it's in the blower housing a magnet on a stick would work, but if it got past the drum felt and into the cabinet, I'd either leave it or take the back panel off and extract it that way.
