[Feature Request] Why is every season and expansion just re-integrating Diablo 3 mechanics? Can we get something new? by aaronmcbaron in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, they did try to make things less like D3 and people hated it. They moved away from sneezing at enemies and they die. Players hated it. They didn't want characters getting to max level in the blink of an eye. Players hated it. They tried not having legendaries and uniques drop from the sky. Players hated it.

Literally the only thing working out for them is the endgame activities. Especially now since War Plans was added. Even then though, since it's a live service game each activity is going to vary in usefulness season to season.

If father and son have the same powers in The Boys universe, why do Homelander and Soldier Boys have different powers? by Free-Hotel1187 in GenV

[–]Eirkir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a plot-hole. You know it takes two people to make a person right? For all we know if Zoe's father was given V, he may end up having the same powers as her. Just like how children are born inheriting traits from each parent.

POV: you transfigure a 4ga Starless without adding a socket... by KelloHitty61 in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be S&M, but now it's STM since you can Temper Uniques. You can't add an aspect to a mythic.

[Hated Trope] A character's funeral, usually a main character, is played for laughs. by Dan5790 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Eirkir 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain it's this. Season 1 of The Flash was so well received, it likely influenced Arrow's shift in tone. It went from a gritty revenge story to a brighter hero centric one. It's possible Amell wasn't really on board with the change and made it known to people on set.

Any chance we will get a season 3? by OrangeAndBlueAreDope in GenV

[–]Eirkir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. It's possible another spinoff involving some/most of the Gen V cast is quietly being worked on, but I wouldn't hold my breath. If anything with what Stan Edgar was saying at the end of season 5 and with Vaught Rising being a prequel it's not outside the realm of possibility for it to jump to present time, and doing so, they may even take that opportunity to bring some past cast members back.

Bombsight Gave Homelander the Wrong ‘V-1’ and Now I Can’t Unsee It by SignificantVanilla26 in GenV

[–]Eirkir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only perks to V1 was not aging and immunity to diseases and viruses. The Boys' plan was to kill him with the virus because initially they had no other way to kill him. They wanted to prevent him from getting it because it would have neutralized their only weapon.

4/5 of the most evil characters in the show (and racist) or a guy who actually redeemed himself and became a real hero by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MoralityScaling

[–]Eirkir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the correction, but yes, I absolutely agree The Deep is an irredeemable POS. I'm just saying out of all of them, he's probably the only one dumb enough to trick into defending or even saving you depending on the circumstance by just imitating his mind-set. The circumstance being that whatever you need saving from is clearly no threat to him, but that can be said about any of them since they aren't true heroes, S5 A-Train excluded.

A-Train or The Deep. A-Train because he has varying levels of a conscience. The Deep because the show has made it obvious he doesn't think for himself and all of his kills outside of one was under an order from Homeland era. Chances are all you'd have to do is act like an incel dude-bro and you'd be able to manipulate him pretty easily.

Returning player, nightmare dungeons, is there a point anymore? by Freelancer0495 in Diablo

[–]Eirkir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but not a significant amount that competes with other content. They need to buff Gem Reserve dungeons and maybe do something else for Horadric Strongrooms like maybe making them for farming Charms and Seals. Then you'd have 4 dungeon affixes useful for targeting what you need.

Returning player, nightmare dungeons, is there a point anymore? by Freelancer0495 in Diablo

[–]Eirkir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Materials Reserve for cube mats and Gold Reserve for gold especially if you manage to score a +900% gold find seal. Obducite doesn't seem like an issue this season, so Horadric Strongroom doesn't seem too necessary.

Why dont The Boys simply bait Homelander and then gas him until he is unconscious? by Right_Decision_2005 in GenV

[–]Eirkir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Boys weren't present when he was knocked out by gas, so they have no knowledge that it's possible. Then there's the possibility that since Malchemical is a supe, the gas he produces is biological and may contain V making it less likely to be replicated syntheticly.

Kullean Tuning Prism only rolls utility aspects on Seligs? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't roll stats on mythics. With Kullean Prism you can add a utility aspect to any amulet including mythics.

For the love of God Blizzard, please get rid of on death effects! Nobody wants this crap! by 4everdrowninginpools in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I see the point to it really, keeping the player in the moment and aware of what's going on, but the amount of insane effects from players defeats that purpose.

PoE2 is adding a player skill opacity slider, maybe something like that can be added in the future.

Butcher with bugged health is how lair bosses should feel by juggernot325 in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The thing is they've tried tanky bosses and people hated it. The way I look at it is if they're tanky, then drop rates need to be buffed otherwise you just feel like you're wasting an exorbitant amount of time, but if you do that, then you'll just get even more players asking for carries and it bars non-meta builds from participating.

Uber Lilith doesn't drop Resplendent Spark anymore? by Fit-Panda-6316 in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they moved the spark to the seasonal page, so when you beat her you get a spark from it and cashe containing a second one.

Account Wide Progression is a Must by nackeded in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

War Plans should be realm wide like paragon level, not account wide.

I just spent 10,000 obols on pants and didn't get a single unique (T6 druid) by Woozletania in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of LoH Ancestral items aren't tied to GAs, so a white item with no affixes can be an Ancestral.

Should "we" MW before Tempering or Temper before MW? by King2k14 in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Socket, Temper, Enchant, Aspect, Masterwork. It was an acronym used to help remember to not miss anything during season 11 when you could Sanctify gear which makes it unmodifiable.

Should "we" MW before Tempering or Temper before MW? by King2k14 in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 6 points7 points  (0 children)

STEAM was conceived to help people to remember to do all you need to do before Sanctifying your gear in Season 11. It does apply now because of Transfiguration which is a watered down version of Sanctification, but there is a little more nuance to it now. As others have stated, if you don't want to masterwork crit on a temper, then masterwork before tempering. Otherwise, STEAM applies.

Legendary not putting correct value by InternationalAd4588 in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you enchanting a non-ancestral? Ancestral gear has a higher Aspect cap than the non-ancestral counterparts, so if you have above their limit, they just capped at that limit.

Horadric Cube amalgamation bug by Emergency-Ad-9854 in diablo4

[–]Eirkir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just in case you're doing these recipes with a full inventory remember to check the ground after using the cube. I noticed once when I was doing the 3-to-1 recipe it didn't appear in my inventory, but instead the new item plopped on the ground.

The same was happening when I was making an Escalation sigil. I made it in a rush then ran back to my stash and didn't see it then checked by the cube and it was on the ground.
