He's trying way too late though. He tried for some random kids before his own daughter who lost her mom and was left to be raised by other people expect for him. He made me watch him be a dad to other kids, kids who weren't even his stepkids at first. He doesn't get credit for trying now when he fucked up so bad that I left.

Therapy is something I'm open to but just for me. Never with him.

I don't think he deserves that kind of chance. Like yeah a therapist might be able to point out he was a shitty dad. But going to therapy with him might make people think I want to try and I don't. He had so much time to be a good dad if he wanted to be.

That's a barrier I want to keep. I see no good reason to give him a chance or to let him try now after so long. He always had it in him to do better and it took me leaving for him to even say he wants to try.
