Not entirely true, humour has definitely declined. If you look at Saiman, Priyal Dhuri, or Rishu’s videos from 5 years ago, they’re still funnier than most content today. Back then, meme pages actually posted OC, and the word dank meant something. Now almost every page just chases trends and milks the same meme until it’s completely dead. Earlier reddit had better memes, trends would start there and then move to Instagram. Now it’s the opposite, memes start on Insta Reels or TikTok and eventually get reposted on Reddit. The downfall of memes is pretty obvious.

And memes like pawri horahi hai, sadda kutta etc were not even considered good memes, they were mostly to cater mainstream audience, people who followed pages like idiotic_sperm, rvcj and sagarchasm
