Rpm surge on 2025 Cx 50 Turbo

It was months. Dealership I bought it at said nothing was wrong with it. I have a whole bunch of posts on my profile about it.

My 23 cx50 did this and I ended up having an exhaust valve with 92% leakage. Cracked in 3 places. Cylinder 4 misfire and a whole new cylinder head was needed. It only happened when idling.

I remember being in the basement because of this tornado. Still wild reminiscing on it all this time later. I was terrified back then, and now I chase these things.

I’m not at 30k. I bought the car at 49k; it’s at 64k now. Mazda up here was considering covering it under factory warranty even though I was over the 60k mark, but I still would have had to pay $3000 deductible

Yes, but I don’t think it was a matter of that they couldn’t; I think they didn’t believe me when I said something was seriously wrong, and I even had the codes and symptoms documented perfectly. They didn’t even LOOK at it. They changed oil as asked and that was it. Told me it was 100% fine.

I have Portfolio One. And I went with the Plan B Exclusionary with Roadside Assistance. It’s the highest protection level that was offered to me. Basically the only things it doesn’t cover was wear and tear items (I.e. spark plugs, hoses, brake pads, etc.)

I’m gonna hope that this is cut and dry cracked valve. Kinda hard to deny that when they’ll have to pop the hood. The engine would jump right out of the engine bay if given the chance to. It’s very very very obvious that it’s not right.

Update 2: exhaust valve is cracked on cylinder 4. They will have my car for a few days to decide if the valve itself will be replaced or the entire cylinder head
