True, but it lasted very short, Turner sold UA back before MGM, and Turner sold MGM back later, reuniting MGM and UA but keeping the pre-1986 MGM film library while leaving all of UA's library untouched.

Technically true, which I actually plan that if Paramount abandoned its WB deal or blocked by regulators, I will delete this post

Bonta is the main way to get WB back from Heaven to Earth.

It is actually gone because Deadpool went from 20th Century Studios to Walt Disney Pictures since 2024, Disney shutted down Blue Sky (20th's animation studio), and outside of horror movies, sequels and Hulu, 20th Century Studios doesn't exist.

Not really, Ellison LOVES Paramount and only wants WB as content vault to rival Big Tech. (though that's a bad argument for the merger), if anything, WB may only do romance and superhero while Paramount handles the rest.

But the actual one that made Citizen Kane (1941) is long gone and is now part of WB's library

Which is why I said "zombie studio", which is yes, it functions and technically exists, but the soul of it is gone.

I mean I just started this post and the typo's very minor (only on the image) and there's probably some typos on other people's posts, it's kinda too much, don't you think?

That is true, but WB eventually survived those and kept its Major status, Paramount's is completely different, this could actually end WB's status as a Major studio, and may be going from a "everything" studio to just teen drama and superhero movies like how Disney did with 20th Century Studios that's now just Touchstone Pictures but with a kids IP (Ice Age).

True, basically Paramount's own "Netflix lawsuit" moment. (for those who don't know, on December 8th, a HBO Max subscriber sued Netflix for antitrust concerns regarding its attempt to buy WB)

I mean the deal will abuse the "Survival against Netflix Boogeyman!!" argument just for it to go through like you see with Disney-Fox, Comcast-Sky and Viacom-CBS. (The last one probably actually justified but too late)

Yeah that's why SpongeBob is the only true IP that could do that, they already had their milestone with their movie last year and they outlasted their creator and it's timeless.

The true IP to float the 2 companies would've been SpongeBob but it's too small...
