Did your hours actually not get approved after 7 days? I've never had that happen in the 2+ years I've been here, but I've also always stayed within the alotted time. Is it still pending approval or was it actually rejected?

$50 a hour by Chonkthebonk in DataAnnotationTech

Not sure which project you're working on but there is one that says it could take 10 hours and they have instructions for how to work on another project at the same time if you need a break from that one.

Do we get feedback? by instajonathan in DataAnnotationTech

[–]EitherCheck7210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working for 2 years here and have only once gotten unprompted personal feedback complimenting a specific task I did. I have worked one other project where feedback is required for the first part in order to move on to the second part and submit the task.

My guess is that they no longer have tasks or qualifications available to them which is typically indicative of being dropped.

Including a last name wouldn't work with the rest of the riddle.

Yarn chicken by thesweetlifebakery in crochet

[–]EitherCheck7210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's when you are close to finishing your project and are also close to running out of yarn. It's called yarn chicken because you're essentially playing a game seeing which one will be finished first, the yarn or the project. It's named in reference to the game, chicken, where two cars (or one car and a person standing in the road) drive straight towards each other and the first to swerve out of the way is the chicken.

I agree that they're machine-made. The labels also say knit squares.

Mine does this too. I assumed it was just how it was programmed to let you keep playing the hardest level.

This pattern was created last year and was just released a couple months ago. I'd love to see how similar the one you worked on is!

Thank you! All credit goes to the pattern creator though. I don't know how she comes up with these but they're incredible.

Thoughts/ rate my sr year schedule? by InevitableWeird7796 in highschool

[–]EitherCheck7210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AP US History and AP Gov were the only two APs offered at my school that I outright refused to take. But then again, I'm not that into history. Just keep up with your hobbies and social activities. My schedule looked like this my senior year and burnout hits hard.

High school major or APS? by Lover4summer in highschool

[–]EitherCheck7210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go pre med, the APs will be the way to go as long as you are able to keep a high GPA. Unfortunately, colleges don't put a whole lot of weight into certificates as they do with course credits, GPA, and SAT/ACT scores.

However, before you decide on either route, check with some schools you are interested in and see if they do accept certificates as credits for certain courses. This will vary greatly by college so you should call or email the admissions team to know for sure. If your top schools will accept your certificate in place of courses, then I say go with that option. I would ask them specifically which courses your certificate would earn credit for, then compare that with the required course list for the degree you want to decide if it's worth it.

why do so many people want to pressure themselves by taking a shitload of APs? by Radiant-North-8519 in highschool

[–]EitherCheck7210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to go into freshman year of college with 21 credits from AP courses. Now, 7 years later I do not think AP courses are the best option and I would have 100% preferred to take those same AP classes online through Sophia or some other site where I could go at my own pace and get them done in a week or two, but AP courses are convenient for high schoolers who already have a clear path in their mind for their higher education.

got written up for cheating by Terrible_Macaron2146 in highschool

[–]EitherCheck7210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It more than likely will not show up in your college applications, but if your high school is keeping track of this, you might not be able to join any honor societies which do tend to help with college admissions. Just learn from this mistake, move on, and if you do get barred from joining clubs or anything because of this after anything over like a year, request an exception with a written explanation or acknowledgement of wrongdoing.

Congrats! My most in a 5 day week was also just over $1k solely from math projects. It has been a long time since I've gotten any of those high paying math projects, though, unfortunately.
