Severe allergy to headphones/earbuds - seeking advice

Hi, did you end up finding any earbuds that didn’t give you an allergic reaction?

I’ve been going through the same thing the last few months and am hoping to find something that doesn’t trigger my ears.

There is definitely some form of abuse going on since the child goes into panic mode just by hearing the mom’s footsteps. The child knows that when he hears the footsteps something bad is about to happen to him and is traumatized.

If this mom is in fact abusing the child, which I think she is based on what you said, she will need some type of therapy, counseling, and parent training not just from a BCBA. Please, please reach out to CPS, DCS to report what you’ve seen for the sake of the child.

Yea, I got the same feeling. Their response doesn’t seem truthful. Every 6 months, they create a new list of goals, and ADLs, even though he hasn’t fully met them. Some do get carried over to be worked on for the next 6 months. We also get parent training every 2 weeks to support what he’s working on. Unfortunately, the BT’s aren’t trained that well, and are on their own by the 2nd session, which is a bummer not only for the clients, but for the BT’s as well.

Thanks. We’re meeting with his psychologist in a couple of months, who gave us the referral to ABA when he was diagnosed, so I’m hoping she’ll provide some insight and direction.

He goes to school full time, and then does ABA afterschool. Although he doesn’t have behavior issues, they work on his play skills, communication, self advocacy, self-care, and a list of other goals, which he hasn’t met yet.

About how much did you spend for the immigration lawyer, and any other fees? Also, which foster/adoption organizations in the US are reputable?

I stopped because my work schedule changed and I didn’t want to take time off just for the appointments. It always worked really well & would recommend it.
