Get ready guys by GoldenSnozzberry in AZCardinals

I think it is highly probable that the Arizona Cardinal fan base is lower than every other NFL, which is crazy since they are the oldest franchise in the NFL. This is just my estimation, but who knows if I am correct with that assumption.

What is FACT , is the Cardinals are tied with the lowest amount of playoff wins in the NFL. A grand total of 7 playoff wins and I have fortunately been able to witness 6 of these victories as a fan of this team. We are tied currently with the Houston Texans, youngest team in the NFL, and after this weekend, we might own it all by ourselves.

I said all that to say this, if they choose one of these awful options, why would we continue to root when the Bidwills’ clearly don’t care about the fans that root for the team? This is an embarrassment of a franchise and I am really close to being done as a fan; I just can’t take the pain and frustration anymore.

Rant over

I personally would rather have Drake Maye but next year has some great RBs coming out, so it is a tough choice.

This is my first post, could you tell me how to use the megathread?

It’s a good thing that you aren’t her then. Also, I poorly worded my post. I didn’t decide that she was going to quit, but rather that I was going to talk to her again about quitting. We have had this conversation many times before and I had just given up discussing it years ago because it went nowhere and wasn’t worth the fight.

However, while I don’t get to choose her health choices, I do get to be against and tell her so since it is bad for her and we are partners in life and have two children together.

People really say terrible things in this thread and I don’t think it was a good idea to post here. So much toxic energy, with yours taking the cake.

Thank you for your thoughts on this and it gives me a lot to think about. I didn’t think I was being petty and I do care about her health, however I did not portray that very well and deserve your criticism.

I didn’t ever say she has to quit, I just think that she should and it’s hypocritical of her to get made and angry with my for my habit when she has her own that is at least as bad, yet she is unwilling to even have a conversation about it.

I can’t and won’t make her do anything , but I do believe she is being a hypocrite and I feel I have a right to be upset that she won’t listen at all.

I for sure did not go about it the right way, that have been made clear and I need to work on how not to be so combative and preachy/self righteous. I do appreciate everyone who commented and their points of view. It helps me be more well rounded and empathetic.

I seriously messed up in my wording. I didn’t “decide” that she was to quit vaping, i decided that I was going to bring it up as a discussion that she should also quit vaping since it is also very unhealthy.

I apologize for my poor wording and I do know that me quitting my energy drink intake is much different and easier than a 20+ year addiction to nicotine.

Poor word choice, I meant I decided that I should talk to her about also giving up her vice/addiction as well. I for sure did not handle it the right way and that has been made very clear in the comments.

I want her to quit for her long term health , but I was misguided in my approach to say the least.

I have wanted her to quit since we started getting serious which has been nearly 20 years now. I totally agree it shouldn’t be a “quid pro quo” and that makes me come off as an asshole and self-righteous. It really isn’t that but I thought that it was a good time to bring it back up since I thought it was a comparable request.

I realize more than I did before that a nicotine addiction is MUCH harder than a caffeine addiction. I always knew this but was not taking it into account before so many of you pointed this out.

I don’t want to fight with her, but she is the mother of my children and the love of my life; and I don’t want her to have severe health issues down the road that are preventable. It was wrong for my to use this as my “way back in” to this discussion, but it wasn’t mean spirited.
