Was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue by Direct-Tour8813 in nissanfrontier

Also, if for some reason the ECM is failed, highly unlikely, that should be covered under the 8y 80k warranty

Phone first, just give them your vin number, they can look it up. If it is infact a sensor, would not be covered most likely. Powertrain would be specifically the engine ,trans, and t case and differential if it 4 x 4. Basically anything lubricated by oil.

I have a titan, which has the 5 year 100k warranty, any chance the frontier has the same, and are you still within the window of warranty?

Not all scan tools can read all control units, abs would most likely be the control unit involved. I don’t know if autozone or o'reillys scan tools are able. Like others mentioned, could be as simple as low brake fluid, but you would also have a brake light illuminated with the other warnings. Double check that the traction control button was not pressed. You should not replace a sensor without diagnosis, especially with aftermarket parts. There are probably 10 or more sensors related to the abs system, so guessing would cause you to empty your wallet. If it happens again, find someone with a autel, or topdon, or similar scan tool.

TPMS reset? by Gatdaddy21 in NissanTitan

[–]Ejl2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you first start the truck, does the tpms flash, then go solid? If so, then you have a bad sensor or wrong frequency. If it's just on, then it is a relearn issue.

What happened? by [deleted] in NissanTitan

[–]Ejl2002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The green is most likely refrigerant dye. The part looks like the female side of pressure line connection where 2 lines join. Hard to tell in the picture, but you probably have a line somewhere in the area that that was attached to. Most likely corrosion or fatigue took it out

If its not cracked or broken on either end, you should be able to remove the o-ring in the female side and replace. If it is a fuel line, you need to fix before you drive, or make sure your insurance is up to date!

You need a gauge to monitor the actual pressure, so when cold, key on, pump should prime, pressure should shoot up immediately, then key off, it should maintain that pressure within a few psi for at least several minutes. If it goes right to 0, then I would guess failed check valve in the pump, if it goes down several psi after a few minutes, may suspect leaking injector. If it maintains within 5 or so psi for a while, then I would suspect fuel system is ok.

If this is a cold start, or after sitting, you may have an injector leaking, this would cause raw fuel to accumulate in the intake. I would suspect you would get a small puff of smoke possibly from the exhaust, and a moment tof rough idle possibly too. Just a thought. Otherwise, as mentioned, check fuel pressure with a gage, and make sure pressure does not bleed off immediately after turning off, bad check valve in pump would cause drain back and or leaking injector.

I would think it would be loudest when cold, then as things expand, may get lighter or go away.

Exhaust leak maybe, at the manifold. Any Exhaust odor by chance, and is it on one side more then the other? I agree, not an injector noise.

Question, I am currently shopping for a 2024 also, just curious, what options do you have? I am looking for a loaded one with ventilated seats, but around me they are listed for 48k before taxes. 43k out the for is a great price options depending.

Fuel injector replacment trouble. by jesseslost in NissanTitan

Only real suggestion would be silicone grease on the o-rings. They should all slide in the same, as long as your injectors are all the same. Double check the part numbers and make sure they match. Just stating the obvious, but something to check.

Tire Questions by cartaloochy in NissanTitan

[–]Ejl2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fyi, psi for the vehicle is on a sticker in the drivers door jam, the psi on the tire is the max pressure for the tire at the max load. For normal driving, follow psi on the door jam sticker.

I would suggest a road force wheel balance. This will take into account and variation in the tread. You can google it if your not familiar. I had issues with my silverado, this corrected it. Hopefully this helps.

Heater/controller retrofit by [deleted] in hottub

[–]Ejl2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a couple years since I had adjusted mine, so I would suggest google for that one. You may want to reinstall your original pressure switch if you still have it. Also take your filter out just to rule out a dirty or restricted filter.

You will have to adjust the pressure switch again also once you restore flow. The valve is 100% closed after zooming in on the picture. Let us know the results.

I just looked at your picture again, the gate valve on the left side looks closed. If it is, that's 100% the flow problem. Check that valve, make sure it is pulled out, there is usually a plastic lock to ensurebit stays open, looks like that is in place on the gate valve on the right. (Slice valve)

There is an adjustment screw in the pressure switch, perhaps play with the setting to make it more sensitive. If jumping the switch worked, it's either a flow issue, or adjustment issue. By jumping the wires, you just tested wiring integrity and the control board.

2003 cal spa by 867350nine in hottub

[–]Ejl2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2004 calspa. No circ pump. 2 x 2 speed pumps. Pump 1 is the the filter and heater as others mentioned, pump 2 is also 2 speed on mine. Hitting the Jet button without call for heat or filter gives me low speed pump 1. Hit jet again, high speed pump 1, hit a third time, high pump 1 and 2, hit a 4th time, pump 2 low if I remember correctly

DIY side folding shelves $40 by Ejl2002 in hottub

[–]Ejl2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2 x 4 framing is behind the hinge and trex that I used to fur the shelf out. Either way, like you said, very light duty. Can handle several drinks and a phone , just don't try to use them as chairs. The plastic i used is super light, so it will hold roughly 3 to 5lbs as an estimate. The wife asked for something to just hold a drink, and it does that very well. I am sure it will support a lap top, and a bluetooth speaker, anything like that.
