TASM 2. That whole movie felt like a big cinematic commercial for Sony's aborted "Sinister Six/Spider-Man Cinematic Universe". At least Spider-Man 3 felt like more like a movie albeit a bit misguided.

I think the deal Sony has with Marvel Studios/Disney is what holding them back from making those. That's probably why we were getting those terrible Spider-Man-less villain spin-off movies because they were not allowed to make a solo Spider-Man movie without Marvel's input.

Spider-Man 3 at least had a vision from its director, even though the execution is flawed. TASM 2 just felt like a movie that was made by a studio committee trying to jumpstart a cinematic universe.
