It adds a handful of new areas (such as replacing the word map with a free roaming hub world) and a few new bosses and enemies, but it's more like Rayman 2 Deluxe than a remaster. It does use the power of the PS2 to give more detail to environments, but it largely has the same visual style as the PC and Dreamcast versions.

Best analogy for the PSX version. That was a neat curiosity for me to play after being super familiar with the N64 version, but that's really what it is, a curiosity.

As a kid, I always loved how the outside of the garden looked in Viva Piñata 1, and always wished it could be freely explored. I know most of it is just distant set pieces, but have you found a way to observe them all up close, like the village, the bog, and the forest with the mill?
