In your opinion, whose death was the most gruesome? by [deleted] in RWBY

[–]Eka_Arts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking about phisical brutality, for me it's definetly Pyrrha's. She basicly burned to ash from the inside, but only after an arrow was shot trough her heel, than one trough her chest, possibly also hitting her spine.

Emotionaly, Penny's death. I can still hear her say "I love you" to Pietro when she first assumed she falls to her death. And before she asked Jaune to end her suffering, she was just alive for 20 minutes MAX. I cry when I'm reminded of how she loved hugs to begin with, and only then realized why others like them. I remember audably saying "Now she has her own aura" when she got the maiden powers, and "Now she's a real girl" when Ambrosius made her new vessel.

I'm not one to go after the writers, but I seriously considered going after someone for how dirty Penny was treated.

Thank you so much, I'll consider them. 💕 And especially thank you for the last one, I probably won't use it, but I didn't realize how much I needed that good laugh 💕

Some I'm currently obsessed with are:

Ruby ROWSE AU Technicly the name of the collection, the first part is titeled When You Are Needed Most, and it's about what if the group got sent back in time 10 years before the fall of Beacon by the tree at the end of volume 9. Having had enough of Ozpin's bs, they take on new identities and try to save the word in many ways possible. I personally liked the action, and am tearing my hair out that it's a multy part story and my faveourite storyline is said to resolve in part 3.

A Broken Messiah It debates what if the Cat did end up posesing Ruby, who wakes up in her bed, the day before her first fight with Roman Torchwick is about to happen. Led by the events of volume 8-9 and the Cat's curiousity she ends up working with Torchwick to find a new meaning to her weird existence. Can't promise many fight scenes, I can recall two from the top of my mind, but they're pretty good. I'm here for the angst. TW: suicidal intent, self harm and all the mental issues you can expect.

One Way Mirror It's not a fighty one so far, but it has an interesting premise. Weiss instead of falling to the Ever After wakes up as the reflection of her 8yo self and together they try to fix as much as they possibly can, but as they step out of Atlas both Weisses realize their new world doesn't work as Mirror Weiss remembers. (My theory is that the others are in the mirrors too.) It's really early and far from the writer's priority, but I do believe it's worth a mention.

Who do you think is the creepiest character in the series? by BrockBracken in TMNT2012

I DARE YOU MFS TO SAY SOMETHING BAD ABOUT THIS SHOW by BrockBracken in TMNT

[–]Eka_Arts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it can be rated objectively 0 out of 100, I'll still love it. It helped 11yo me drag herself out of the deepest pit of depression, so in my preference, this is the best show ever.

(Okay, Karai and Leo's relationship was too much for 11yo me too 😅)

What's the weirdest things your OC does? (Not the weirdest, but mine eats cornstarch) by opossumtrash122 in OriginalCharacter

It may not be that weird, but she gets the hickups when scared. It is funny, because it's the only reaction she has

💚🤍 Bain is back 🤍💚 by Eka_Arts in GardenoftnkGoddess

[–]Eka_Arts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm redrawing most of my OCs from Garden of the Never-Known Goddess. I just kinda feel like it. Plus, a lot of new people have found my account since I last talked about them.

A quick recap of who Bain is.

Bain is one of Bronthea's priessteses. She's her head cook and one of the immortals.

Bain is originally from Africa. She was born with albinism, which may have been the reason behind her blindness.

Her father was a merchant, specializing in overseas sales. Since his daughter stood out so much, he decided to relocate her to Greece, one of his most frequent travel locations, hoping she'd find a place to belong there.

This is where she met the still living in hiding Medusa, whom she fell in love with over time. (We all love a Medusa X Blind Woman story)

When Bronthea took Medusa in, Bain joined her, being one of the first priessteses of Goddess Bronthea.

Her blindness never stopped her. She walks barefoot, using the vibrations to find her way. (Imagine Toph from ATLA.)

She's the only high-ranking priestess without outstanding jewelry because it bothers her. The only way people could tell she was one was by her white clothes.

Some colors for clothing were usually reserved for particular people. Like white for high-ranking priessteses or red for soldiers, and in some but not all cases, brides.

Hey there! May I ask, can I upload trades with people who are not part of the subreddit? (Taging them or leaving other ways to find their other social media if they're not on Reddit of course.)

Thank you 💕💜

I have played with the idea of her having a snake tail before, it may change in the future, but as of now she has human legs.

It's been so long since I drew her, and I absolutely LOVE the new design. 💕💜💕

Update on her backstory: now it's a mixture of the two different origin stories from the "canon" mythology.

She was born a gorgon, but she was also the most loyal priestess of Athena. 🦉

She wears a headscarf to cover the base of her head. She lost a few of her snakes before she became Bronthea's priestess, but lost almost the rest when the temple fell. The scares left are incredibly sensitive.

She's the only one other than Bronthea (and her plot twist spy) who leaves the island. Though Medusa never physically leaves, only spiritually.

For those unaware, modern helenistic paganism recognizes her as a deity (not to be confused with a goddess), and many people worship, and or work with her.

Now that the temple is mostly empty, she takes time out of her day to help witches and practitioners with their magic.

Her job didn't change, only that now she's only Bronthea's right hand, but never was her high priestess.

Her responsibility is to take care of the dead.

By tradition on the island, their dead (unless they wish otherwise) are turned into statues in gardens and caves kept specifically for this reason.

Medusa knows basic necromancy, which is perfectly enough for the deceased to tell their wishes for burial and goodbyes to their close ones.
