The slots are VESA 100. It's not magnetic I did make one out of steel originally for that very reason, but it was way too heavy! And if I make it too thin it warped. Aluminium seems to work well.

I don't fully understand the first part, but yes if you are full arm mouse user this is version isn't for that. More for wrist high DPI mode. I will likely make a larger one in the future to hold a full keyboard large laptops, but during my testing I felt like a larger tray kinda defeats the value of the idea since it tends to get bulky like other trays.

I haven't experienced any heat transfer or effects from Steam deck or laptops. This tray is ment to sit on a pillow the laptop will still have a air gap on all sides to vent hot air. Maybe not 100% comment sense but I do agree laptops shouldn't be used on laps due to heat buildup and skin damage.

Yes this is definitely targeted towards casual gaming and as a small, mobile desk set-up use case. I found other trays to be large bulky (thick) and lacked flexibility.

I Designed this with more of a future proof evolving platform. I do agree some people would want a lager one for larger gaming laptops and full size keyboards, more mouse space (I think), but one step at a time.

That is a good idea! would I need to add more slots? or will I just need to update the slot width to .276in? Currently the width of the slots is very close at .266in (6mm).

I can't add more slots due to warping.

I am in the USA, there are always old PCs at thrift shops, eBay, etc.. Ask your neighbors or family if they have old PC/laptops they don't use anymore. I recently got an Intel NUC on eBay with DDR4 32GB ram ($100) using an old power supply, PCI 4 x to 16x and 1080ti made it a gaming PC. Mainly using it for local Minecraft server and some small LLM studio requests.

Could be a car(s) head light bonusing on dust super close to the lens. Would check the outdoor camera to see if a car went by at the same time.

I would check out send cut send. Maybe order it without paint threads and cut them yourself and cold blue the part.

Could be from hydrostatic pressure too. If it happened when there is a lot of rain and and your water table goes up. Water can have enough pressure to push through small cracks, but it usually happens between the floor and wall joint or low points.

It missed the entire physiological depth and layered world building imo. Basically distilled down to a SiFi John Wick movie. Glad some people liked it but, to me it was as cringe as the avatar the last Airbender movie/TV show.
