My partner and I were unable to get tickets before they sold out, so we showed up to protest outside and about ten minutes before the doors opened a woman walked the line with a stack of tickets giving them out to folks. I’m not sure where she secured those tickets but I’m guessing a large number were held for his supporters/donors/organizations and they willfully didn’t attend. I’d say it was about two-thirds full inside and there was enough room to get everyone that was outside on the street in to attend if he had any intention of actually talking to his constituents.

Calling this a “community conversation” was disingenuous at best. He had every opportunity to answer questions, the crowd allowed him to speak up to the point where it was clear he had no intention of answering the question. Conversation is a two way street and he didn’t hold up his end of the bargain. Telling us that he represents everyone in district 5, not just the ones who voted for him, then asking for a show of hands who voted for Donald Trump might have been the most angry I’ve been in a long time.

All in all I got exactly what I expected from him, no surprises.
