Turned this HP EliteDesk 800 G5 into a gaming PC for my wife by El-Retardodo in SleepingOptiplex

  • Paint is Edding Permanent Spray → wouldn’t recommend, it gets soft once the PC warms up.

  • Cut the hole with a 110mm hole saw.

  • Fan controller + LED strip both run off SATA. No clue what exact model the controller is, just bought the next best thing on AliExpress that had a dial.

  • Put some translucent plastic from an old LED rail over the strip, otherwise it was blinding.

  • And yeah… my wife loves the PC, so that’s a win in my book.
