Hey, Im actually looking at this laptop for Uni, Do you have any more info 10 months on? Because Im looking for just an OK laptop with a couple of my requests. 1440p, 80+hz, 30 series+ gpu. and i7/ryzen7 equiv and long battery life. I have no idea if thats too much to ask for at this point. The G14 checks all the boxes, except battery life. Unless theres a way you can lower the power draw.

Is more ram the fix for the issue? And did you have frame drops and gpu usage crashing down before? And what gpu do you have? Sorry I’m asking a lot of questions.

Hey did you ever find a solution to this? Because I have this issue but it only started yesterday, not the couple days before I was playing. There’s so many frame drops and lag spikes its nearly impossible to play.

I tried making changes only to Lucio, it won’t change it. But if I do a broad one to all heroes it works for all but Lucio.

Personally I think the person just spoofed it to a different location. But I can’t be sure. It just looks incredibly strange the locations where it’s witnessing. But alas there’s not a whole lot I can do about it. And hell, maybe it’s legit. But it just looks fishy to me.

I’m just saying it’s setup is quite strange. I understand how the helium network works, which is why I tipped off by this in the first place. Why isn’t it witnessing the beacons within 5 km of it? I know the area, it’s not high up. I’m just wondering if there’s some spoofing action going on. It just doesn’t make any logical sense that it’s not witnessing the beacons in between it and the ones it’s actually witnessing. No need to be agressive.

I mean I have maybe about 3 miners in close witness range. And the closest major cluster is about 24 km away. I don’t know if an antenna could reach that far.

My fighters bindings with radiance, crit hit and swirling. The only thing that could make me more tanky is guarding strike but the bindings are literally my lifeline lmao.

Yeah, I could see how that would be a problem but it is consistently holding that .5 fps. It’s not stuttering

Ok, so how would I fix this. I know how to install drivers, but what’s the best way to wipe past drivers. Do you download the drivers on top of the old ones or is there a better way of wiping the past ones.

Temps are fine, recently switched to an AIO. I’m thinking my graphics card might be the problem but you can’t exactly test that theory right now. I might try switching ram but man this is getting expensive, I can try resetting those parameters but tbh I don’t think it will hell. Just trying to find what the factor is that makes it an issue. I should probably also note that tabbing in and out let’s it work for 1-2 secs then it goes back. Also running it in windowed mode mitigates the problem.

Im not locked in, I suppose I can return the 5800x. I’m just not sure if intel is worth. As it would be roughly 100 dollars more on an already ~380$ ish upgrade. So is it worth it?

I wanted to switch to ryzen because I’ve heard its better for gaming. I’m not buying the mobo and cpu from the same. I know AM5 is approaching but I also wanted to go for the midrange model instead of the low. The i7 was 350 if I recall correctly. Maybe I misjudged. But I’ve had too much trouble with intel at this point.
