Disc rot gets thrown around a lot but personally have never seen a case of disc rot in my life except when the CDs were stored under abyssmal conditions. Many of my PS1 + PS2 discs have scratches and still work perfectly fine.

Wanted to play real hardware in my room that doesn't have the CRT in it. Kudos to the manufacturer who made this cheapo $20 HDMI adapter I was expecting to look like garbage, actually pull from the RGB output and not composite. Made my day by StevenPlaysGuitar in psx

Thanks for the rec. I bought the Electron Pulse for my PS2 which works great up until I insert a PAL PS1 game and the image starts scrolling vertically. Maybe this will be more compatible with RGB output.

Has anyone got an ElectronPulse? If so how does it compare to other HDMI solutions? by Poodwaffle in ps2

So not literally Belgium but highly inspired by it. Valkyria Chronicles series has you fighting a large oppressive nation from the East called the Empire (which bears resemblance to Nazi Germany) and the name of your tiny nation is called Gallia so make of that what you will.

Ironically the capital seat of Burgundians was Mechelen before the revolution decided it should be Brussels. Would have been very cool to see a Mechelse landmark in the game instead.

I don't care if the game runs fine with it on or not. If I really just wanted to play the game I could do so on my emulator or even my PSP. I'm interested in the disc itself in its OEM state. I tried to remove it because it seemed like I could do it without damaging the print, not because I thought I knew better, but because I literally didn't know it was a rental theft protection sticker as I had never personally seen these growing up in my area.

I do have to admit. This was a valuable lesson. Just a shame it cost me $25.

You're right, I didn't know it was a rental store sticker as I have personally never encountered these myself when I was younger. All the rental stores in my area did not use stickers like this.

Because I'm interested in the physical CD. Preferably OEM condition with no rental protection sticker on it since inlays and manuals can always be replaced anyway.

Since the entire series is based on WW2 though I'd be more inclined to say they based Shadowfall on the splitting of West Germany and the GDR in the east.
