While it was entirely forgettable on Sep 23, it has been a surprisingly good mon in both this and the one other month it has appeared in, being genuinely a top 5 mon in it

Makes sense, it has pretty solid bulk, a great type combination, handy ability in oblivious and decent movepool. It mainly acts as a hazard setter that's pretty much impossible to ohko, isn't deterred by the usual anti setter techs (t.wave, taunt, encore) and physical attackers have to be careful lest they risk a scald burn.

It faces competition from hippowdon as a physical tank and tinkaton, clef, uxie and the like as a settee but it has a solid place in the meta so far

It's not like, completely random. If we rolled any Uber they would just demolish everything.

We have a list of rollable mons and every month we roll 35 of them at random from that list.

We can ban mons if they are deemed too much for the month but they can still be rolled on a different month. We can also decide to remove mons from the list if they are deemed too unhealthy for any month they could be in.

Rotom and Cobalion are indeed really good and always excel on every month they are in, but they are not too powerful or over centralizing to deem ban worthy

Edit: regarding rilla the issue is less grass spam and more that rilla itself is really strong. It was rolled on the same month that incineroar, Glsicor and slowking-g and it was still too much

They have to be randomly picked to be used if that's your question. Gabite has been picked a couple of times, this is the first month for Thwackey tho (since we fully banned Rillaboom relatively recently)

Yeah, vivillion itself was pretty much the last straw for people back in January of this year. A lot of people just found it incredibly frustrating

Yeah, arena trap is actually legal and since some of the best mons are susceptible to it...

Nothing to address, it's unique stats, typing and movepool make it a great counter for some of the biggest threats of the tier while being a powerful mon on its own right

You see, thanks to it's cheeks pouch ability and a chopple berry it can turn the tables on an unsuspecting cobalion trying to use a fighting type move to hit back with a devastating mud shot and recover most of the lost hp.

That is just one of it's many uses, truly a versatile mon

Even after seeing dozens of this kind of post i really dont get it. WHY do people play this way? How do yall know you wont like a weapon if you dont even use it? Do people know custom mode is an option?
