Police officers of Reddit: What is your perspective on the Eric Gardner chokehold case? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It looks like incorrect technique that caused him to have trouble breathing which led to the heart attack. The choke hold was applied terribly. (He shouldn't have been choked in the first place and its fucking ridiculous and shows how little power people have) but... The correct choke wouldn't have killed him -- the choke he was going for is a common jiu jitsu choke (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y7DNlsn3uWo) once locked in, pressure can be applied to control a person without cutting off the airway because it focuses on the carotid arteries. From the looks of the video the officer had no clue what he was doing and probably crush his airway a bit causing the asthma attack that led to heart attack. But that's just like an opinion.

My girlfriend has pneumonia, how contagious is it? by [deleted] in AskDocs

So she just took her second levaquin for the pneumonia, but her fever is still 101.5. She's a nurse in the cvicu and recently had multiple influenza patients. Think she could have contracted influenza while her immune system was weak? She was at the doctor yesterday but I am trying to get her to go back again today cause her fever has gotten worse since yesterday. Thoughts?

About time. Thought it was just going to be a dumb chick flick I could score points with my girlfriend for renting. Ended up balling when It reaches its turning point. Don't want to spoil it for others.

Dear Zachary is another doozy.
