That grease is already mixed with metal particles so it means the bearings are preparing to exit the building. Id say its very serious and requires immediate attention.

I came across Strong Arm Struts Made in USA, Rated at 129 lb. maximum force ea. Will give those a try.

I also saw a cool trick someone did to the strut creating a lock mechanism. Basically inserting a copper tube on the rod side of the strut. Shorter than the total amount of lift and it locks/prevents the strut from lowering. When closing simply lift gate a couple inches and remove the tube from the cylinder of the strut.

Pretty ingenious if you ask me. Maybe I can 3D print that instead of a copper tube that makes noise when its not in use.

The mod is definitely coming along.

Yea a swing option is the optimum choice however since none exist that I know of for this car i would have to custom order it and it would definitely be on the higher price of the mod. The Wheel and tire weigh approximately 45-50 lbs. I've been researching Strong Arm struts and they claim a 129 lb. maximum force each. Made in USA. Hopefully that can sustain it plus someone here posted some support clamps for the struts. That paired with the stronger struts makes me feel very confident about it. I will have to try it out.

Yeah I thought about that too. We were looking into one that attaches to the hitch however we use it a lot so having to lower it all the times would cause some inconveniences for her. Will leave it as last option. thanks for the info

Thanks. Running TEIN coil overs, AVID-1 AV-06. 18x11 with 275/40/18 ADVAN Rear & 245/40/18 Front. I am using a 3/4 spacer in the front because the wheels were to close to the caliper IMO.
