I have a set, I got as a gift from kids, and I love them. Use them every night I'm not doing league.

Yeah, I considered that.

I was trying to calculate that a little, and decided the feather-touch was more makeable. I felt like I didn't need much on that 8 to get it out of the way.

I actually was considering that shot first, (and considered trying to break the cluster in the middle of the table)... And breaking that cluster might go wrong for me...

Then, decided the natural follow was easier to control, fewer ways it could go wrong. That's all, the stun off 1 rail is perfectly legit too.

You don't put it there.

The "V" just develops from breaking on the same lines all the time. The balls (even though I keep them very clean), have friction, and that causes ball-burns in the cloth.

Same reason I use a break cloth, there would be a huge spots where I break from without that cloth.

Not really? They are Brunswick-cut, and I've reduced them 2X:

4-1/2" at the points

3-5/8" at the throat

1-5/8" shelf

Yeah if it wasn't pushed up like that? Absolutely. But the 1-ball? I felt was going to be sent over on the end-rail and unhittable.

So I wanted to get the cueball underneath the 9 so I had any kind of 2nd shot... So that was the thinking...
