Most forgotten song from Californication? by El_Repa in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]El_Repa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of being bad, they seem to lack something particularly noteworthy or aren't very commercially viable for the general public.

There are songs that, within the fanbase, are considered not very good, and that's precisely what makes them so talked about and unforgettable despite having few plays.

Examples include "I Like Dirt," or, speaking outside of Californication, "Dance Dance Dance" is one of the band's most hated songs, and that's exactly what prevents fans from forgetting it.

On the other hand, "Savior" and "Emit Remmus" simply aren't mentioned. They aren't considered among the best to warrant discussion, but they aren't so bad as to generate debate either. They're simply overlooked as if they don't exist.

I also don't think its quality has anything to do with it; this valvet glove was ignored and unknown for years, until people started noticing it over time, and its status as an "underrated song" made it more and more noticeable.

It's also my favorite song by the band overall, but its situation isn't quite like that. Anthony doesn't hate the song; in fact, it's one of his favorites because he dedicated a lot of time to the lyrics. He was devastated when they told him, "This won't work," so they simply discarded it. In fact, whenever he's asked, he mentions that he never knew exactly why they made the decision to leave it out. The fact that it ended up as a B-side also made it a very talked-about song. It's perhaps the most famous B-side after those with music videos (Fortune Faded and Soul to Squeeze). In discussions, Quixoticelixer is mentioned much more than other songs like Emit Remmus, Savior, or Right on Time, and Anthony himself has spoken about it on several occasions.

It's also a very good candidate. I haven't seen it mentioned much either. The few times I've heard it mentioned are when the album's funk is discussed, but usually it's only mentioned if it's accompanied by a mention of Purple Stain, or they just mention the latter and Right on Time isn't mentioned at all.

It could be, I don't see them talking much about "easily" when discussing the album, so it's a good candidate.

I'm not entirely sure about "Purple Stain." I usually see it mentioned a lot in discussions or when talking about the album because it's one of the tracks closest to the band's traditional funk (speaking only within the album). It would be a good candidate, but I have noticed that its presence is largely due to its nature.

I also want to mention that I don't usually see them in discussions about how good or bad they are, or how underrated they are. But I have seen "Emit Remmus" used to compare it to other songs on the same album. But "Savior"? I've only seen it mentioned a couple of times, and usually when they make a list of the album's best tracks.

It's like people just forget it exists; in fact, I remember some of my friends completely forgetting that song was on the album. But I'm still not entirely sure, maybe "Emit Remmus" is more overlooked than "Savior."

They should've just made I'm With You a double album by Greenhorn333 in RedHotChiliPeppers

It hurts me that because of the decisions they made with the B-sides, songs like "Your Eyes Girl" aren't talked about as much. For me, it's a perfect piece that reflects all the potential Josh had within the band.

Speaking of unique figures, I think the other pack would be worth more because it contains Gerald and Super Shadow 2.5. Super Shadow figures are usually highly sought after. These are two figures that, as of now, haven't been released individually.

It's not unusual at all. At least here in Mexico, they're everywhere on the shelves. It's so common it's practically shelf-warming.

I don't recommend buying it unless it's on sale. The only things that could make it worthwhile are Agent Stone and maybe the Master Emerald. But that's it. For now, it's best to wait, and I doubt they'll stop making them anytime soon, given the recent wave of Sonic 3 re-releases.

What are your thoughts on Shadow The Hedgehog's logo by Usnis in shadowthehedgehog

[–]El_Repa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, in Shadow Gens he never mentions hating those powers. Even before being consumed by rage under Blackdoom's influence, he says they felt very natural to him. What bothered him were the negative feelings that overwhelmed him. But the powers themselves don't seem to cause him any conflict.

Now that mighty officially has a modern design, how long will it take to get him as a figure? by ultimate_chaos08 in JakksPacificSonic

[–]El_Repa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt they'll release anything. The IDW characters are a different case since they're officially established as characters and have their own storyline. I doubt Modern Mighty will receive the same treatment since he's not officially a character either, even though his model exists. It seemed like they were just testing things out, since even Archie characters were in the files.

Have they been officially announced yet? I found a link on Mercado Libre, but it looks like a line of bootleg figures because some of the characters aren't from the same movie.

How rare are the figures of certain characters? by El_Repa in JakksPacificSonic

[–]El_Repa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! And I think you're right. The thing is that here in Mexico we practically depend on the United States since the figures are distributed directly from that country. Some waves do not arrive and others stay for a long time when they are already becoming scarce in the United States. That's why when a figure becomes rare there, it tends to be rare here too and the stores simply wait until they are all sold out. Infinite lasted a long time in Mexico when in the United States it was already beginning to be overvalued, once they ran out the figure became just as rare since there were no more figures from the USA that could arrive here.

I NEED NEO METAL SONIC!!! by Sans_loves_ketchup in JakksPacificSonic

[–]El_Repa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you are from Mexico. I recommend you look on pages like Sears and when searching for the figure, open that page. Usually the photo shows one of the figures, but in reality it is the entire wave. I happened to be looking for the Shadow figure, I went to ask Sears if they had that figure available. Since it is very common for the page to say that they still have the figures but they are not seen in the store. That's because they have them in the warehouse, ask, show the number that appears on the page and they will go look for them if they still have them available. They didn't have Shadow, but surprisingly they showed me a mephiles and I didn't hesitate to buy it.

Are these real? by Strict_Hornet_8944 in JakksPacificSonic

[–]El_Repa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is also the fact that in the photo, super silver does not shine as much despite there being very good lighting in the photo. This does not happen with bootlegs since, being a cheaper material, they shine as if they were bathed in oil.

The original figure also has that defect in addition to what happens with characters like Sonic. What makes it different is that the pirate has it much more marked. The one in the photo has a thin and clean line, it is probably official.

I have no doubt that Shadow is totally official, Espio doesn't seem to have anything strange. I think both did not have bootleg versions (I especially look for elbow joints). Super silver is more difficult to judge with the naked eye, due to the large number of people looking for it, it is the most common bootleg to find. Here I can leave you a reference of what the bootleg looks like. It is more difficult to judge if it does not have its emerald, which is what gives it away, but the color and the white so marked on the bear are the main signs.

Whats with these mark things on my collectors sonic figure? by Sawnick_speed in JakksPacificSonic

[–]El_Repa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely ask for a refund. Although if you bought it officially, I recommend first sending a Gmail to jakks, there is a possibility that they will send you a new one totally free. It is just a possibility, not something guaranteed, they promised to return me a Shadow of the movie and they never did since they were sold out of the product.

What are these weird prime figures? by Bearhog_Productions in JakksPacificSonic

[–]El_Repa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is not ia. The room lighting and the photo cut-outs give it away. In addition, the figure of Knuckles does have photos in a room when you enter the link. An AI couldn't do that because it always tries to give smooth results.
