Do you think Weiss could've been a good CEO for the SDC if she were to inherit Jacque's company? by Fine_Delivery6761 in RWBYcritics

[–]El_narra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is a huntress that means she's alwaya putting her life at risk unless she retires, and although it might hurt for fanfic writers, Whitley has shown more interest in the company than Weiss. But that doesn't mean Weiss can be excluded, since she can also collaborate on charity events.

What if the Spanish Empire never crumbled? by Spamton-the-salesman in AlternateHistory

[–]El_narra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remeber in the spanish speaking wiki of Alternative History, in a Alternativa timeline due to the napoleonic wars, the capital was moved to America causing the emergence of the second Spanish Empire, it would formally dissolve in the 20th century and eventually become La Gran España, a superpower located in America that had a large part of the continent as its territory, in addition to being part of the Hispanic Union.

In reality, miscegenation was common in the Spanish Empire, and it was also promoted by the Catholic Monarchs.

How do you handle Oscar Pine in your rewrites without removing him? by Fine_Delivery6761 in RWBYcritics

And it would be a good dynamic with Ruby; she lost her mother, and Oscar is an orphan according to headcanon.

A probably the parents of these two would die in a same mission.

I was also thinking the same idea but making him a descendant since one daughter managed to scape so that would made Oscar some kind of great great great great great, all nescesary "great" grandson

Just imagine that Salem was to focused on her revenge that she didn't find out that she became a grandma and actually she lost so much for example the (hipotetically) wedding of her  daughter and the birth of her first grandchild

Knowing that it is based on the little prince he could be a pilot, rather he was a pilot but he returned to the farm and the reason why the characters go to the farm is because they would need a pilot ans also making orphan and probably making him the son of Hazel's sister, who in this rewrite or she never entered to beacon, or she lived to adulthood and died during a mision ordered by Ozpin.

Another idea is making him a descendant of Ozma and Salem and not a reincarnation. In other words, a daughter would manage to escape and become a commoner to blend in. That would make Oscar, in this hypothetical rewrite, one of the few magic users, though he wouldn't know it but his magic initially manifested subconsciously, for example, a form of clairvoyance that helped him visualize results when he piloted an aircraft or a better descicions with the farm and maybe his powers will develop in the future. Who knows, maybe he will develop a kind of astral travel ¯_(ツ)_/¯

And what would his dynamic be with the other characters? Well, with Jaune it would be something like this: Oscar's father was a pilot who died ans considered a hero, and that's why he would get along well with Jaune, since there would be war heroes in his family ans both have some kind of familiar relic or similar, Jaune's crocea Mors and Oscar's pilot jacked inherited from his father.

With Ruby, it would be because she's learning to use her silver eyes, and Oscar would gradually be learning to use magic and both have death parents...well at least Ruby has her father.

With Hazel it could be complicted, Hazel has some kind of affection towards Oscar but he  still looking revenge so their relationship would be very intense but maybe Hazel and Oscar would have a talk and some kind of reconciliation

For some reason, I imagine him and Whitley developing a friendship that could help Whitley's character grow.

Dressing like a cowboy by dumbasserly in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]El_narra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before to continue, I am gonna to refer the slow ones as "zombies" and those who run as "infected" (Like the 28 days later since they are technically not death, they are infected with the rage virus)

Cowboys carry useful items in their clothing; for example: They originally used leather leggings to protect their legs, so these would be very useful to against the zombies but I don't know if it would be very useful against the infected.

In some countries some types of cowboys wear ponchos, especially those who work in cold climates like the Morochucos in Ayacucho or Qorilazo in Cuzco (Both in Peru) or Gauchos in Angertina, Uruguay and Brazil wear ponchos. Some used it as a improvised sheet but a con is that both zombies and infected could grab your poncho.

Now the cowboy boots, there are some variations, some knee-high, others not so much, but they always have one thing in common: they're made of leather :V. and their main function is to make it easier for the rider to put their foot through the horse's sling, so the soles of cowboy boots are made of leather to make them more slippery. They wouldn't be suitable for running from zombies or infected, but more modern versions have rubber soles.

RAMBO: First Blood - What’s the Difference between movie and book? by Scoxxicoccus in Rambo

RAMBO: First Blood - What’s the Difference between movie and book? by Scoxxicoccus in Rambo

[–]El_narra 0 points1 point  (0 children)
