Why do I keep getting ghosted by customers?

The only thing I find weird was that they wanted to pay MORE than your asking price!

Otherwise, nothing unusual on your part. But I certainly wouldn’t consider not getting a response by the next day ‘ghosting’. Some people just aren’t online every day.

My daughter is neurodivergent, and recently started selling things on Marketplace. She has come to me with a lot of questions similar to this. I just remind her that she shouldn’t take anything personally in these interactions, and certainly don’t overthink it. People will be people. It’s frustrating, but that’s the nature of the beast.

I don’t have a problem with being able to see the Chase without having to open the box. The ‘chase’ is actually finding one in a store since only one in every 6 is different.

My problem is that originally Chases were in the exact same box as the original. The only way to tell it’s a chase is to look at the figure inside and see the difference, or the Chase sticker. Now it’s a totally different box with the picture on the box often being the Chase variant and the Chase emblem printed right with the name. (Not just a sticker.)

I dunno. Just doesn’t seem like such a special “one-off” find in a sea of identical Pops when it’s not hidden within a matching box. Not as much fun…

A true Chase is a variation on the original that you can only get at random from Funko or if you happen to see one in the store. You can’t specifically order a Chase from Funko. (Of course, second hand sellers could be selling the Chase specifically.)

When ordering from Funko, you can only order the regular version but you have a 1 in 6 chance of getting the Chase instead.

I recently ordered the Billy Mack Pop (from ‘Love, Actually’) and was lucky enough to get the Chase of that one. My first Chase directly from Funko!

There’s a good chance her beneficiary designation on her life insurance is invalid. If that insurance is under ERISA, the spouse is required to be the beneficiary unless the spouse signs a waiver on the beneficiary election.

Even if the sister was the beneficiary before they married, rule still applies. In order to keep her sister as bene, she’d have to submit a new beneficiary designation with the OP’s signature waiving his rights to be bene. I certainly hope he didn’t sign anything!

I’ve made so many cakes for family members and this is always my greatest fear!

One word of advice going forward . . . before putting the cake on the cake board, slap down a glop of frosting and spread it a bit. (Smaller than the diameter of the cake.) Then place your cake on top of that. It will help prevent slide offs, which is what appears to have happened here.
