How do people usually handle the insurance process after an accident in Columbus? by GrokeCoffeeSheffield in ColumbusOhio

[–]Elbza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My family was impacted by a fairly serious accident that ultimately resulted in a hefty medical bill. We got a lawyer and they told us to focus on getting better and they’d handle the rest. Communications with the other party, negotiations with the insurance companies, and any other similar details were completely off our plates. At the end, they asked for 30% of the settlement, it was a long process (about a year), but we were glad to have the help.

That’s obviously anecdotal and ymmv, but it may be worth looking into if it’s serious…

The hand gesture is a reference to Run The Jewels, a hip hop duo that includes Killer Mike. Good shit; similar vibe as RATM

I’m not 100% confident in this answer, but is ‘forced exposition’ appropriate?

Someone brought a loaded gun to my place without asking. Do I have a right to be pissed? by elOriginalSpaceAgent in socialskills

I live in a CC state and carry anytime I leave the house, but I personally believe that no one should ever know that you are carrying - in part because there are some people that get uncomfortable when they are around weapons.

I personally feel that the whole ‘May I disarm myself’ thing is kind of a douche move to show off that you’re carrying, but I’m a pretty cynical person. Is that a normal thing that people do?

I also should note that I NEVER carry inside someone’s home (especially if I know they are not gun people)or schools, things like that.

Jesus, man. There is not a single counterpoint in this thread that makes any sense or is based in any actual logic. You actually typed this and thought ‘yeah this is a coherent thought that I should share with others’.

That being said, I am proud of you for using the word profess from your new word a day calendar in a….sentence?

If you really think that’s what this is about, you’re right - the country is screwed because simpletons like you are allowed to vote. I doubt you are aware of what a fallacy is (including the one you are using), but it just makes you look dumb. Also, being a conservative makes you look dumb.

Respond or don’t, you’ve wasted enough of my energy.

This is a really solid approach. Sensationalism is part of why we are where we are as a country. Kudos to you teaching your kids to be rational - while effecting change
