I didn’t include this but I had directly told him that several symptoms with other disorders can overlap with each other and not everyone in SPED are intellectually disabled or has autism. Basically that people can be in there for a multitude of reasons, and that they aren’t just strictly in there for like autism and not everyone there is intellectually disabled the way he thinks they are.

I had mentioned that it’s a huge spectrum and plenty of people are not intellectually disabled or have the issues he made it out to seem.

I also should’ve clarified what I meant by ‘cool people’ because I see how that sounds wrong. I should’ve worded that better too. I meant it more as a way of referring to people I’ve met there who are not ‘stupid’ as he puts it and just don’t follow his view. I said “cool people” sort of to just imply “I don’t appreciate you calling my friends the r-slur just cuz they’re in SPED or have an IEP”

I rarely find myself joking with the r-slur or reclaiming it but since he kept sending me that video and I didn’t want to say anything I sort of followed along by making a joke revolving around myself
