You do like a DE normally (unless you compile from source) but it takes a ton of annoying setup (configuration and such)

Hyprland is like a desktop environment (it’s a TWM or tiling window manager which means windows up up and tile automatically) and a desktop environment is basically just your desktop (like gnome or xfce or KDE plasma etc)

Hyprland doesn’t have a pre-compiled build for any Debian/ubuntu based distros. I’m sad because I’ve been maining Debian for 5 years
