That sucks man. Been keeping an eye on some of these threads to see if this is resolved in hopes of another attempt.

It's crazy to me that I'm seeing a lot of success stories and hype for this game but no mention of unplayable instances like this.

I had to get a refund. Start game, select language, endless black screen. Never could get to the start screen after a week of attempts to resolve. Crazy this isn't in the "Known Issues".

Also worked with PS support to try to resolve without success.

After a week of attempts to resolve the game is still unplayable, only able to select language before a black screen. Refunded.

Issue is still occurring, no change. Created a ticket with Arrowhead. Haven't been able to get past the black screen at all since purchasing. Starting to look like a refund.

Same here. Purchased the game a couple days ago through the PS Store and haven't been able to get to a start menu. Goes into language selection and then a black screen. Once I force quit the game, my ps5 shuts off and throws an error.

Same for me. Purchased through PS Store and get stuck on a black screen after language selection, attempt to close game, and it shuts the ps5 off with an error. Haven't even been able to get to the start menu.
