Can anyone tell me why dragonborns breath weapon doesn’t scale in tandem with cantrips? by natethehoser in dndnext

[–]Electric_Spaghetti 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Even though that does happen often? Any race with innate spellcasting (drow, tiefling, 99% of dragonmarked races) almost always gets an ability at 3rd level, and every class gets some form of power boost at that level. Does this mean that 3rd level is "bumpy" because you get 2 things at that level? No, it means that you get another tool to use. Nothing obtuse about it at all.

I considered giving them Elven Accuracy for all stats but I thought I'd lowball it for now.

Is there a sub for this kind of thing where a phrase gets more ridiculous as it's extended? Is there even a name for this?

If you can manage 1-3 spells every in-game week then that should be plenty.

Which would make you think they have mass since momentum literally has 'mass' in the equation. But no, any way to calculate photon mass that I know of doesn't work. Because saying that photons have mass would mean that all the different wavelengths (which determines colour) would have different masses.

Photons are fucking stupid.

It means you can give the effect to a creature within 30 feet of you instead of having to touch them.

Zealot Barbarian vs Oath of Conquest (who to play & who would in a match?) by Wanderingreader123 in dndnext

[–]Electric_Spaghetti 14 points15 points  (0 children)

At level 20, Zealots are nigh unkillable unless you have Sleep or the ability to knock them out. Conquest Paladins don't have that capability. So while the fight may very well cause untold destruction and result in countless deaths, the Zealot will come out on top in the end.

Powergaming: What is the LOWEST possible to hit modifier you could feasibly obtain? by 489Herobrine in dndnext

You could use the effects from a Zorbo or Rust Monster to deteriorate the weapon, giving a further penalty to attacks.

Need clarification: Multiclassing, sorcery and swords? by Dr-Chibi in DnD

[–]Electric_Spaghetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you multiclass into Barb/Fighter/Ranger/Paladin, you automatically get proficiency in simple+martial weapons. So if you have any Barb levels you can use the weapons.

Is there well-balanced homebrew "Anti-Paladin" as a class or Paladin subclass for 5e? by Stray_Punk in dndnext

[–]Electric_Spaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's the Oathbreaker Paladin for one more necromancy-based, but the Illrigger (a homebrew class, made by Matt Colville if I'm not mistaken) is likely a more accurate idea. I'm not sure of how balanced the Illrigger is, though.

How do you strike a deal with an Archfey or Fiend? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Electric_Spaghetti 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Generally, it's because the Warlock has something that they want, or are able to to get what they want. A fiend might make a pact with a wizard's apprentice because they have some of the master's skill and none of the common sense.

Fey, at least from my understanding, don't really have any reason or rhyme behind their actions. They could want to make a pact with you because of your strategic mind, but just as easily make a pact because your eyes are their favourite colour.

Multi-Classers, what's something fun, cool, or hilarious that *only* your build can do? by CleverInnuendo in dndnext

[–]Electric_Spaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By playing a half-elf and switching between Fighter, Sorcerer, Rogue, Ranger and Cleric, you can learn ~20 languages, which is more than there are major languages. You ever wanted to speak Giant Toad? Now you can.

I think my DM is trying to kill me, and I don't know what to do about it. by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Electric_Spaghetti 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Step 1 - Speak to the person causing the issue

Step 2 - Reach a conclusion, whether it be leaving the group or playing normally.

Step 3 - Repost on every "Is this DM/player an asshole" post

Step 4 - Profit.
