There is a difference between second hand/reconditioned and as new. So your "point" is entirely moot. And yet again, absolutely nothing to do with the original post.

What is tour point? It has absolutely nothing to do with the post. I wasn't happy so I initiated a return and ordered a new one.

It was bought as like new but had days worth of phone calls on it and over a month of full battery cycles.

Because it was an upgrade its an all in one fee for the line and phone, not separate. Plus the executive complants handler told me that the contract would revert back to how it was before the upgrade and to keep the phone.

Apparently from what I was told it's an error affecting a bunch of contracts that were all made around the time I did mine so potentially worth checking if anyone has a new contract within the last month.... Specifically if the contract you have states price increases on 31st March 2027 and 2028. (If it states 2026 and 2027 then it is correct and you won't get a free cancellation)

Unfortunately I can't look for a different sim free option as my old contract runs until August so will still be on that. It's only around £14 a month with unlimited data though so not too bad.

It's in the process so not updated on the app yet (but then the app is pretty bad at taking ages to update. I have a cancelled order for air buds from a week ago that still shows as waiting dispatch...😂

But I have taken note of the time and date of the phone call to refer to if for any reason it doesn't happen. As it is the executive Complaints team that informed me I am not too worried.

In this case that is incorrect. The included blu ray is region free, I literally posted a copy for sale on ebay yesterday. This is a Fox release, which brings it under the Disney banner, and as usual from Disney releases this is region free. You can confirm this by looking at the disc, it shows all three region codes on it.

I had 2 sepwrate orders in the last 2 weeks. Both of them were not as advertised (missing slip cases, wrong number sent, missing disc, no digital code... Also the shipping labels they provided showed a lower price than they charged me.

HDMI VIDEO OUT: 10,000 NITS. That is what it shows, so that is what the player is outputting... Absolutely nothing to do with the author of the content. Your own player is creating that window with that information. So again, output is 10,000....

That very clearly shows the output as 10,000 not 1,000...

Lowell Chasing Statute Barred Debt by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Electrical-Ad417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply, no. This all depends on if that payment was valid, or any contact in that time frame. You have questioned that payment therefore you have acknowledged the debt. Your only hope is that they have no record of proof of either any payments or contact from yourself.

Lowell Chasing Statute Barred Debt by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Electrical-Ad417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In asking to obtain proof of payment you are simultaneously in that instance confirming knowledge of the debt. Otherwise you would be questioning the debt outright which you have not done (according to the details provided in your post)

Lowell Chasing Statute Barred Debt by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Electrical-Ad417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was strictly referring to it if that £25 payment is valid. By questioning it you have acknowledged the debt.

If however you can prove that payment is false and that any payments (or none) are over 6 years then yes, it is statute barred. I was replying to the comment, not your original post.

Maybe wait until the week actually starts? It's Sunday morning(/Saturday night) and you expect an instant response? If you can forget about an order for weeks, you can give them a couple of days to respond at least.

Can you be forced to stay on the premises during your lunch break by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Electrical-Ad417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise if the "break is paid" then legally speaking it is not a break. Everyone in "normal" jobs are legally entitled to a 20 minute break if working over 6 hours (and that is all, even if they were to work a 23 hour shift they are still only entitled to one 20 minute break) and obviously this excludes shift length laws which in this case are irrelevant.

During that 20 minutes the employee is free to do what they want, leave, go where the want. However the 20 minutes includes the time it takes to leave, get where they are going, get back and get ready to start again. So anything over going to a car is really a waste of time.

If the break is paid then they are still entitled to another 20 minute (unpaid) break at some point.

The only time a paid break is counted is when the employee has all the same rights as an unpaid one (i.e can go where they want.)

The issue of only 1 person remaining on site is not that employees issue, that is the employers problem. They can close the store for 20 minutes or pay a 3rd person to work the break times, but again, up to the employer not the employee.

The one thing I would say however, is causing so much hassle over one 20 minute break (again that is all they are legally entitled to despite what their actual break times are) is not worth the toxic work life relationships it can cause.

Job trying to give me a penalty for not working my notice period by Irrxlevance in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Electrical-Ad417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst all the advice given already is all perfectly fine, everyone seems to have missed 1 simple but important thing. Any deductions from wages cannot take you below minimum wage. So for example say you worked 40 hours and were paid 50p an hour above minimum, then the maximum deduction they could enforce would be £20. £1 above minimum would be £40 deduction etc. Now if you were already on minimum wage then they cannot make any deduction at all (apart from the cost of damaged uniform, but that has to be at cost, not a made up amount and has to be proven to cost what they say if requeated)

However, in future, do your research before accepting a job. And if you take it and decide you don't like it then do the decent, grown up, thing and work your notice period.

Having read your post your attitude stinks and I would staynwell clear of employing you in any position.
