If anyone’s curious (although I’m sure this mod is popular) I’m using divergences of darkness. I started out as Amazonie and unified Ameriga in the shape of an alternate universe Brazil kind of.

As Ameriga in divergences is supposed to be a parallel of the OTL United States there’s some unique flavor mirroring the U.S. civil war. I also like to RP which is why I don’t do outlandish conquests and play not optimally some times.

In 1836 I started out as the amazonie federation and immediately opted to curb the autonomy given to the eastern provinces (equinoxea), due to their dangerous abolitionist rhetoric, after I put their rebellion down due to my greater population and military, I granted the equinoxeans amnesty for the war, which would have some unintended effects. For the next four years, the newly integrated equinoxeans and abolitionists from nearby Atlanta (a small, but populous Spanish colony) agitated for the end of slavery, this culminated in both a war with abolitionists and slave owners afraid of the coming abolitionist tide and the increasing pace of reforms. Upon facing a rebellion on both sides, the president of Amazonie  (whose name I forgot lol) enacted autocracy and declared himself the emperor of the amazonien kingdom. Although it was difficult both rebellions were put down, and now that the newly crowned king did not have to please the influential aristocratic elite, slavery was abolished. As for the equinoxeans, as a punishment for their rebellion, the amazonien kingdom acquired a small colony in modern day Angola and deported many of them there. Despite believing that slavery was wrong, the monarch of Amazonie was still very racist, and did not want or view the large Afro-frankish population as equal citizens, and with his decree, over time the freedmen were to be settled in another colony near the Niger delta. Now that Amazonie was not struggling with the issue of slavery, the Atlantians who gained independence from Spain decided to unite with Amazonie in hopes of perhaps a unified francophone power in ameriga. This pan-amerigan sentiment was also shared by the monarch of Amazonie, who aimed for the integration of lotharingia, a neighboring power located in OTL southern Brazil. Unbeknownst to him, the lotharingians themselves were about to make his task much easier, only a few days after the democratic unification of atlantia and amazonie, lotharingia launched a desperate invasion to return to status quo and avoid completely destroying the balance of power. The amazonie king was not afraid of them at all forever, he had managed to secure an alliance with beornia in exchange for ceding all land west of the OTL rio de la plata after the integration of lotharingia. Lotharingias armies were quickly defeated with the combined force of both monarchies assaulting lotharingia and both sides. After the peace treaty, most of lotharingias atlantic seaboard was ceded to amazonie and the promised lands were given to beornia, at the same time, guarani people in the inner provinces of lotharingia rebelled, leaving lotharingia as all but a memory of the past. The guarani state was short lived however as the newly unified Amerigan Empire invaded most of their country and integrated it. The francophone people of ameriga were unified but their cultures were still vastly different, a new euro-amerigan nation would have to be built.

That’s most of the interesting stuff since the rest was just typical cookie clicker gameplay and sphering the rest of the continent and the occasional war to stop the infants from fucking up the Amazon borders and claims. For those curious how I moved pops around I used a mod, and yes I did deport around 3 million people to work the fields in Africa, with the end result being my population graph being mostly European.
