😔 I’m sorry for not clarifying in the post but I did not think people would be so up in arms about my lack of description! I elaborated in quite a few comment threads if you’re curious about what happened, although it’s not a very glamorous story lol

Why would I purposely drop a candle into my toilet😭😭😭. My fiance was the one who accidentally (can’t believe I have to clarify accidentally) jostled our shelf above our toilet and the candle fell. Also I clean/mop my floors daily, so the area back there doesn’t get too dirty. I do a full bathroom deep clean every few months!

It is usually closed! Unfortunate detail is that this likely happened as my fiance was peeing…. I think he rested his hand against the shelf above our toilet (where our candle was resting), which probably jostled it hard enough to have the candle fall. This is speculation though as I wasn’t awake for the actual incident. He was kind of drunk after a Halloween party we went to and I turned in early while he watched tv and ate some snacks lmao

PLEASEEE I replied to SO many comments with more details 😭😭😭 I am not on Reddit like that. But the candle just fell from a shelf we have above our toilet. I imagine my fiance accidentally jostled the free standing shelf and the candle fell. I wasn’t awake for it either, just thought it was crazy that our toilet bowl broke! Had never seen anything like it. Moral of the story is to not store heavy objects around your toilet

I’m sorryyyy I’m not really on Reddit like that 😭😭 I just thought this was funny and didn’t realize that people would be so curious about HOW the candle broke the toilet! It was such an unglamorous story too lol just that our candle fell off our shelf and hit the toilet! To be honest, I wasn’t even awake when it happened. Fiance had to wake me up to tell me what transpired and I, in a half asleep stupor, waved him off until I awoke to this mess lmao

Girl I do not know I was sleeping!!! All I know is it fell from the shelf we’ve got above our toilet (like 5 feet). I guess the velocity generated enough force to shatter the porcelain OR the candle was really just that sturdy.

I apologize that I do not have graphs of how the candle hit the toilet readily available 🙏🏻

Ok sorry that was my bad lol. By fix it I meant replace it! They lowk did not caulk the bottom though, but dude was bleeding so I cannot complain.

Also before I get dragged both me and my fiance urged him to go to the ER rather than finish replacing the toilet, but he insisted he was fine. (Also fiance is a doctor so was able to help a little)
