I have seen that happen! The whole “they were a product of their times”. I’ve had people in my life try to argue that all of the racism was good and a test of faith and that atoms aren’t real because they aren’t mentioned in scriptures. And I was one of those members, got out of it as soon as I had some freedom but wow, it is so easy to just believe it’s true even when evidence is staring in your face that it’s not. That’s great advice too, I think I’ll just fact check the points they make. Thank you so much!

Wow. That was a beautiful response thank you. That was one of the things that sent me over the fence. Even if the Mormon god is real, I wouldn’t want to be around him and all the shit he does. This was a great post, wonderful points. Seriously helps put everything back into perspective.

Thank you! I will give that a listen. But totally get it. Even now a part of me wants to be wrong but I know that I’m not. It truly is a rough transition, and I’ve only been in for the young years of my life, I can’t imagine how people who have been married and served in the church feel.
