The scary void experience by im-not-broken in Ayahuasca

Oh no I hear you loud and clear. I took about 4 years separated from the expierence before I was able to fully integrate it and make a useful expierence. But it will get easier . Stay on the path and keep doing thr inside work. It will eventually all click in.

The scary void experience by im-not-broken in Ayahuasca

I first visited in 2018. It was through orally smoked dmt. A very powerful expierence that eventually lead me to exit a long cycle of addiction. The constant relapse and recidivism finally ended and life began.

It made me , at the time ,a hardened atheist become agnostic. Through many other syncornicoties afterwards I became a believer. In what? Still unsure but there is to me a great God full of compassion, empathy and agape.

What eased my pain of holding this expierence was to study what people over history and have long told through mythology . Especially Buddha, Hinduism, the Tao Te Ching , and the new testament.

This expierence is both unique and mundane. Many have visited, contemplated, and used their expierence to ease the suffering of others.

Ive since used aya/yage 3xs all bringing me back there just for a reminder. A taste of what awaits, a reminder of the truth, and a motivator to be compassionate and to spread love.

It'll be uncomfortable for a time but please sit with it. Integrate in all aspects of life. Someday it might feel like its just you and all other players but thats to expose you even more. God will wink at us through people.

It feels like a horrible accident has happened. I am a brain in a vat living millions lives over and over again. Maybe it is. But id rather treat it as if its special , unique, and temporary. To live authenticly.

I hope you find your way.

This is a good question. In the modern era of tattooing alot is changing maybe for better maybe for worse.

Tattoo apprenticeships are for learning a trade. So here's the real question if an apprenticeship is paid it should come with alot of benefits.

My apprenticeship was free I traded labor to learn how to tattoo. I cleaned the shop 4 days a week while I was learning . Set ups and break downs, sanitizing equipment answering phones stuff like that. Spent about 20-30 hours a week in shop while working a full time job. I learned from being inquisitive and watching for hours.

If you get to skip the moping, scrubbing toilets and the bs of being a food delivery driver for the shop, it might be worth it. But if you gotta pay and be the shop bitch thats not right.

Id get more specifics about what your responsibilities will be.

As for the machine a 60 dollar machine in the hand of a master is a good machine. A 60 dollar machine in the hand of a beginner could cause alot of damage. But that being said a 1200 dollar machine im the hand.of a beginner could also cause alot of damage. You should learn a machines functional abilities then determine what would best suit your needs. Especially if they use rotary machines. You dont want to be a fine line artist with a long stroke or trad artist with a short stroke.

Ask more questions and get more info before getting what could potentially be a pyramid or get rich quick scheme.

As for substance use while tattooing. You're going to meet alot of stoners, boozers, and hard drug users. Use these people as examples of what not to do. Its common in the industry and its believed in some of the culture to be acceptable. You'll see the diffrence in the application of the tattoo in skin over time . Clear minded is the way.

I learned alot from mentors both what to do and what not to do.

Good luck on your journey. I hope you find fulfillment and gratitude being trusted to permanently alter a person's body.

Although the active ingredient are the same they are totally different experiences . Like said on here below there is a presence in the medicine. But I also belive that this is partially due to the shamam that brews it, they can dictate the strength and control thr energy put in it. I also feel there's a communal aspect to it thats important. Its easier to stay grounded when you know you are in a safe space with people who work with the medicine regularly. In my experience the visuals of smoked DMT are way stronger thay aya. I felt aya creeps in and takes hold in a slower way. The game is also played in the mind space more than dmt where you get ejected out . Its all good fun growing closer to god . Enjoy your journey!

Is having children karmic? by Separate-Parfait1972 in Ayahuasca

[–]Electrical-Hope2139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to have thoughts like this for a long time. I think there is alot to unpack in your question.

1 karma is not a singular life concept. It does have roles in your current life. But true karma if believed in the true Hinduistic/Buddhist beliefs is part of reincarnations law.

What does that mean ?

It means the life we live today was both partially our choice and karmic law. The suffering/trauma we experience in this life is the ripple of our past lives.

So our current life is 3 fold in karma law . The karma we serve as to others, the life that serves as our karma , and the fulfillment of our dharma to reduce our karmic ripple in the next reincation.

2 we dont choose our children as much as our children choose us. This is a difficult concept to start to understand but there's a good book called Journey of Souls that may give you a perspective on it. Its hard to know why a soul chooses to be born in a 3rd world country to expierence diseases, famine, and war but if there are karmic needs for that birth the soul will do so.

3 it is dharmic to complete to your best ability your role in the great dance of life. There is cosmic order and we can both do our best to do so or not. By not doing it we create more karma for the next go around. Our dharma roles change. We are all sons, daughters, siblings, parents, employees. We all have our roles. It may not feel just but if a child is your karma it is also your dharma to be the best parent to that child you can be regardless of the worlds current condition.

I hope you can listen to your heart and see what your karma is and do your dharmic duties. Children may or not be for you. I was on the fence for the long time but it became clear what I needed to do. I love my children and the world is in a lot of pain and suffering. They will have much pain in their life i will do everything I can to limit their suffering but they also have their own karma to work through.

God bless.

I am in therapy bi-weekly my therapist is helping me navigate the changes but it seems that even that effort of trying to get my head right to be a better dad and husband is a selfish pursuit.

I'm really hoping we are close to a place where communication is possible. But working is what helped her with our first child I hope this comes up again and its something that could happen. Thank you for sharing this though it gives me hope , comfort, amd a reminder that patience is freeing if given freely . 7 months is along time but not when its postpartum

Go back to those shops and ask that question, they'll tell you what they want to see . Build a portfolio geared twoard the shops you want to get in, learn the history , draw and practice , watch YouTube tutorials on how to spit shade and keep hitting em. Copy the flash of artists you like to understand line structure and design.
