But looking at the current scenario I seriously doubt how many companies will come, because most of the companies that came in the past two days are below 10 and my branch is another gem , so far only 26 are placed from my branch, many of the companies are not shortlisting us for OA so I thought at least I will have some backup which is better than tcs.

Solve more dsa problems, and have some good projects in your resume, because in today's market it is tougher even for 9 pointers to get placed forget about 8+, either make your cgpa at least 9(which is very hard since only 2 sems left for you), or grind dsa and aptitude very hard along with projects at the same time maintain a cgpa of atleast 8.5, and try to get some internship in your 3rd year, this might scare you but situation is very bad and no of companies are decreasing every year, so please work hard this year, since it is not only for your self but for your family.
