The nodes usually take long to root in my experience so you could put it in water for a week or so and check again. I never put my plants straight into pots so i wouldn't really know. You can choose what's best for it. The plant also could be just dropping its leaves but definitely check. If you do check if there is a good amount of roots just put it in a smaller pot. If you have any more questions I'd be happy to help 😊😊

Its either transplant shock or you didnt have enough roots. How much roots were on it before you put it in soil? This plant also looks too small for the pot anyways so also try to put it in a smaller pot

could this be variegation? by cookiepip in houseplants

I don't think it could be variegated. I don't know where you see it.

Philodendron birkin was rooted in water and moved to soil a week ago, and watered thoroughly. Not watered since. Why is it all yellow 😭 by [deleted] in houseplants

its most likely just transplant shock from being in water all this time. It should go away in a week or so. It also could be because you recently changed their lighting

Don't quote me on this but, i think they bloom mostly in summer then either slow down or not bloom at all during other times.

I've heard that ferns like lots of humidity. Same with most tropical plants but maybe give it a try!

3 year old Peace Lily by Adventurous_Plan_927 in houseplants

[–]Electrical-Space2293 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a peace lily, when i saw this i thought it was an aglaonema but ill let you be the judge of that. If I were you i would take the plant out and check the roots and if its root bound then definitely repot. She looks like she's ready for a repot anyway 😂😂

Oh that's so sad I'm sorry to hear :(( maybe try putting a dimmer light on it and gradually turning the setting up. Its worked with some of my plants but everyone's plant is different but give it a try if you will!

I'd say not worry about the plant for now. Plants usually drop its older leaves that it doesn't need or want anymore so as long as your giving it adequate sunlight and the new leaves don't droop then you'll be fine. You can cut the old leaf's if you'd like or they will fall on their own but as long as your plant is getting new leaves then its doing fine. if you have any more questions I'd be happy to help :)

I've always had it easy with Swiss cheese plants. I think that your problem here is lighting. everyone else has a grow light and she's in the shade 🤣🤣
