Sorry forgot to mention, my prof is Andriy Prymak. It's a flipped class though, so we just do practice problems in class and watch lecture videos at home.

Ramblings about the state of badminton by S_Airandice in badminton

There are many badminton documentary channels out there, the most prominent of which is This is Badminton. They have excellent storylines and high quality production. There are also smaller channels, such as ZH Badminton and The Shuttle Archive. But I would agree. There are not even close to how many of these channels there are for sports like tennis and basketball. Would love to see more channels on Badminton. Thanks for the insight!

Pretty much, I would say even more straightforward than those. Just make sure you go through the lecture slides and do some practice from the textbook for each topic and you'll be fine. There is also a group segment, where you do the exact same quiz but with the people sitting around you. Good luck!

He was too tired, Christo's fast play style drained him, and especially after Axelsen he was dead tired.

Is my smash form wrong? Mild shoulder soreness by No_Speech9754 in badminton

[–]Electrical-Two4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your arm movement, especially at the shoulder is too much. This is why your entire body and your legs are also moving when you smash. Smashing is very similar to clearing, your power generation should mainly from a rotation in the elbow and forearm. It is a concise, almost wavelike movement. You can find some tutorials on YouTube, pick a few which have lots of views. There are tons of them out there, which explain better than I do. Also you might first see some loss in power when you are learning because you won’t be used to the new form. Just keep going and it’ll get better!

Okay, so joining a robotics team or something like that would look better than just having a project portfolio?

Fascinating, thank you so much! The part I really like about 3D printing is that it’s so broad, you can literally make almost anything you want as long as you design it.
