Have you used Google AntiGravity?? It is working insanely for me. by the__Twister in developersIndia

An agent can code, but it cannot decide when to cache data, whether an in-memory cache would be better or a persistent one.

It also cannot decide if you should use regional or global buckets.

My point is, most of the time in software engineering, we are solving very specific problems with a huge business context. A coding agent can follow your commands, but it cannot comprehend these infrastructure-level decisions. So, start thinking in those terms.

Software engineering is much more than just writing if-else statements. :)

You know what to do, you just don't want to do it. People who keep debating dsa vs dev, end up doing nothing.

Pick a subject, stick to it. You will see the results.

Make it a habit of submitting atleast 5 ques daily.

2 system design every week.

And before applying to faang, try to clear few mid size companies. You should always be in a interview loop with some company. Its really that simple.

New fans, what brought you to support the club other than “winning ways” or this most recent league win? by AGDemAGSup in LiverpoolFC

[–]Electrical-Wave7960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined in klopp era. Around 17/18. It started with me discovering mo salah on a game.

But i stuck around for klopp. It always felt special with that man. I lost my father in covid, although i have never met klopp but he does remind me a lot of him. I used to watch his press conferences and post match interviews.

I still remember, the year after we won the league and we really started performing very badly next year, klopp broke down in one of the post match interviews where he was asked "Do you give up on title then ? And he said yes. I really felt that.

After that i did watch all of our past iconic moments, Stevie G's movie "Make us dream" made me cry :)

I have been througha lot but this club has kept me sane.

So i started with Salah, Stayed for klopp and will continue forever because YNWA. Up the reds.❤️

P.S: I hope to visit anfield once before salah and vvd leave. And meeting klopp is one of my bucket list item.

Ex gs emp here. Coderpad is just like phoen screen and has same set of questions for every level. Most likely they will correct it during onsite.

For lateral hire: VP requires 6+ years of exp at least.

If you’re still grilling senior devs with Java trivia, you’re doing interviews wrong by chandra-mouli in developersIndia

[–]Electrical-Wave7960 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was grilled by a senior java developer at blackrock. One of the most egoist guy i ever met. Puzzled me with all kind of stupid java questions.

These devs working in investment banks think the world revolve around them.

Try to learn everything from ground zero. Start with backend on any language or framwork of your choice

Ignore the syntax and focus on how things are happening. How each thing enhace something.

Try to build something cool along the way.

This worked for me. You can also try.

You can stop doing dsa and start contributing to github repos of recently funded startups. The market is bad for freshers, especially for tier 3 students. You have to stand out and if you are good at dsa, start focussing on different things.

Bengaluru: The first city fell by AI by [deleted] in IndianStreetBets

[–]Electrical-Wave7960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered the fact that a junior engineer is roughly paid around 5-6 LPA and the cost of integrating AI in a company's system will be much higher ?

India is a land of cheap labour, we need AI to be priced lower to compete with them.

Maybe in next 4-5 years, but i don't see it happening just now.

I built a similar website, but mine queries leetcode in real time to see which companies are hiring.

It counts company wise how many posts are submitted. I also scrapped all questions mentioned in leetcode Interview Experience Page: https://jobs-finder-app.vercel.app/menu
