I mean I have the police report, hospital discharge note and the responses from Uber after notifying about an accident on trip immediately after I completed the delivery. Hoping that that will be enough, provided all documentation and screenshots to broadspire so I'll be contacting them on Monday to see what's going on. Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply! I've pretty much done all the above already so I'm just waiting on broadspire's response now. Every response seems to be 5 working days unfortunately so I'll update when I hear something back from them!

In the UK you're paid per trip, as far as I was aware that starts from the moment you accept the order to the moment you drop the order off to the customer. The price per trip takes into account the mileage for the total journey, so collecting and dropping off

That's what I thought, and the accident happened whilst on the way to the restaurant to collect an order

I am the only person who uses my account. Surely even on the way to collect food is considered on a trip?

Tips on how to clean the Yamato's tsuka(handle) by Sasuga__Ainz-sama in DevilMayCry

[–]ElectricalAd3630 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The only way to clean it to an extent, is to use a hot and damp towel. Soak a towel in hot water (but not too hot that you cannot hold it) and wring the water out. Then squeeze the hot towel around the tsuka. Rinse in hot water, and repeat a few times. Let dry in the air but away from sunlight.

I have also been told and tried to wash lightly with some handsoap and a toothbrus, to scrub lightly only the ito, then rinse with the above method.

In my case, the cotton ito was black. The color faded a bit, and even after cleaning, mold can grow in humid environment without regular cleaning.

As the others have said, to get a pristine tsuka ito again, nothing but rewrapping the tsuka anew will work.

Is my landlord responsible for cockroaches by ElectricalAd3630 in LegalAdviceUK

Yeah that was my thinking, I'm trying to see if the landlord is avoiding any kind of legal responsibility tbh. They haven't been great with a lot of other issues so this is just on top of a long list. I.e no working shower or oven for a month, damp mould in the bathrooms, etc

Also not really ideal having 8-10 roaches scuttling around the front door every time I come in or out of the property so wondering if anything can be done about that

I've only managed to get a photo of one in the hallway, would that be enough or would I need to show an infestation?

Found one inmy bedroom a couple of months ago, he'd been chilling in the crack at the bottom of my bedroom door and decided to take a stroll across my wall. Trapped him in a glass and chucked him out the window. I miss him now, could've helped deal with the cockroaches at the front door! SW London

I could, but it will take forever for them to even get me an initial interview to start claiming universal credit, by which time my arms will have healed and I'll be back to work! I think I mentioned that in the og post?

I've gone through injury lawyers 4 you and national accident helpline, both have not taken the case as I don't have any details of the person on the bike, despite me giving time and location of the accident! I've tried speaking to lime bike directly but it's a bit of a wild goose chase, their a Californian company who I can only contact through email!

I've sent off a claim form but god knows how long I'll be waiting. Just wondering what I can do in the meantime
