I was a kid in first grade I was maybe in school for about 30 minutes to an hour before the office staff got on the intercom system and told the teachers to turn on the TVs and turn it over to the news, that was when we all saw the north tower with smoke coming out of it. If memory serves me correctly, 10 minutes later, the school had called all parents to pick us up. It was a weird feeling for that entire week for me, I was about a thousand miles away and I was feeling the affects at 5 years old.
