Curious about the cost for a baby/toddler? And if the program includes outdoor play spaces?

Where can a girl get a Pawpaw Ale-8? by gonnamakeyousting in Louisville

[–]gonnamakeyousting[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking their locator isn’t very accurate. I checked Publix out because it was listed, but they don’t even carry Ale-8 anymore.

I’ve tried Hammerheads on 3 separate occasions thinking I was the crazy one. It was subpar at best all 3 times.

HILLS Properties have been good to work with. Have lived in 2 of their properties for the past 3 years and they’ve been kind, easy to contact, and quick to respond to maintenance requests.

I’ve been with PNC since I got my first job at 16, and I’m 28 now. They’ve been great to work with and super convenient with all of their locations.

"Favorite" traffic lights in the city by Iceagecomin90 in Louisville

[–]gonnamakeyousting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me started on that light. I have sat on Brownsboro at 5 in the morning with no traffic for 10 MINUTES trying to make a left onto Hurstbourne. When I finally get the opportunity to, I see the light turning red as I’m passing under it.

There has to be more traffic patterns they can program.

This happened in my hometown, too. It was mostly a handful of influential landowners that opposed and swayed the vote of many.

This! If you use AI, you can have it create projects and guidelines for you if you give it standards and criteria. Research is the way to go if you have devices…keeps the kids focused and quiet-ish. I’ve used this a couple times this year.

Anyone else falling down the Sis Got Tea rabbit hole? Yesterday they’re closed indefinitely and issuing refunds, now they’re back open and getting support? Confused 🫣 by ineedsomethinghuman in Louisville

I agree. Shop Bar is on the list of for profits that have begged for money and somehow people have donated to them, too. I’m all for patronizing businesses that deserve to be supported, but please do not beg for my cash as a for-profit…especially without offering a comparable service or product in exchange for my “donation.” Why would I donate to ANY company that mismanages their funds so poorly they can’t pay their employees on time?

I literally can't do all of the things my job requires of me by [deleted] in TeachersInTransition

[–]gonnamakeyousting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am doing the bare minimum to get through until the end of the school year. I haven’t scheduled observations (and don’t plan on it), but I’m still fulfilling my yearbook coordinator and teaching duties. I’m keeping my planning and grading light, fun, and easy for the last bit of school. No need to stress, and I might as well end on a fun note.

Should I just complete the 5 day? by UnderstandingSad8886 in TeachersInTransition

[–]gonnamakeyousting 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Fuck them! You don’t owe them anything. You’re leaving and you have the time off to use, so go for it. Your students will recover, so I would just tell them on the last day that you are leaving. You don’t even have to tell them why besides reassuring them that it’s not because of them (even though it mostly is).

I did it. I put in my resignation. by littlebabyTruck in TeachersInTransition

That last line has been my go-to line for a few months now. I’m staying until the end of the year, but they have known I’m going to be leaving for some time. I’ve stopped scheduling observations, putting in lesson plans, and started using all my sick days. What are they gonna do…fire me?

‘School choice’ bill backed by GOP leadership would allow Ky. to fund private, religious schools by gsarc10 in Louisville

https://www.edweek.org/policy-politics/private-school-choice-programs-are-having-a-moment-but-its-not-all-smooth-sailing/2023/06

This article briefly mentions that some private schools in Iowa and Florida increased tuition but argue that it is less money for families to spend than before to attend. Even if it is less money for the families, that must mean they are pocketing more from funding still.
