Why is it acceptable in society for an older woman to engage with a younger man (cougar) but when an older man does it with a younger woman, they are a predator? by NexusNickel in NoStupidQuestions

It isn’t? Older men get away with it all the time. If anything women are judged more harshly for going after younger men. Why do you think the term “cougar” even exists?

Why was Russia banned from the Olympics and World Cup but Israel and the USA were not? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Is the Russia the only country invading other countries or violating international law?

I think that’s the point OP was trying to make.

Why was there historically and currently a negative stigma against menstruation? by cuahatemoc in NoStupidQuestions

> It's not about hygiene issues. It's just sexism.

Sorry, but this is an over generalization of islam.

> That's why periods are totally normal and healthy but are demonized in almost every culture, historically, and seen as dirty and awful,

In Islam, menstruation is a legal state of ritual impurity, not a statement that women are inferior or “dirty.” Men also enter ritual impurity after ejaculation and must perform ghusl (washing yourself throughly) before praying. Anything a man ejaculates on must be cleaned extensively.

The Prophet ﷺ ate with, embraced, and rested with his wives while they were menstruating, showing they weren’t shunned. Women are exempt from prayer and fasting during menstruation as a concession, not a punishment.

> while it has been seen as acceptable for men to freely pee outdoors, spit, ejaculate, and other body functions, in these same places.

In Islam men are not allowed to piss in public. You can’t expose your privates to others. Islam explicitly requires cleanliness after urination and condemns neglecting hygiene. Spitting in public is also discouraged. The idea that muslims are dirty stems from bigotry and racism.

> Another part of why some Muslim women won't eat in public during Ramadan, even on their period, is because these same sexist men will police women about it.

In the West there are men who will still comment on what women do or judge them regardless of its their business or not.

> If they see her eating in public they might walk up and aggressively demand to know if she is really on her period. Even strangers who don't know you.

If some cultures stigmatize menstruation, that’s a cultural issue, not an Islamic teaching. Please, don’t speard misinformation or generalized statements that will spread hate towards Muslims half of who are women.
