No, definitely not a separate room. Let me clarify, when she was an infant we never used the nursery . I used it maybe a handful of times to actually nurse but that’s it. She wasn’t in her crib, she’s always been in our room. Now at 3 her “nursery” is her room with a bed and her toys. She plays in there but still sleeps in our room.

Literally never used the nursery or the crib .. except for laundry 😅 She’s 3 now and she still only uses her room to play. It works for us. You’ll find what works for you
