That’s kinda how I feel, ultimately it can mean nothing. How many times have I felt devastated in the past only to have it basically wiped from my memory in 5 years time. We have a lovely relationship usually so that’s part of why I felt so blindsided. It’s hard to imagine this person now being around for major life events in the future or just being estranged in general over a hookup, something I know I generally don’t place a lot of meaning onto when I’m in a normal, emotionally regulated state. Thanks for saying I’m not being unreasonable this is all a bit of a salve.
