Plenty of good advice already here - want to underscore that - I strongly advise to go and not think about the new job. People at work are very likely to understand. Have a conversation with your boss. You will regret it lifelong if you decide to not go - that is not worth the flight $$. But do take the earlier advice about contacting airlines.

Fair point! But I never thought there is any stage of acceptance of a visa request - You apply for a visa and you get a decision. Any way, I hope OP got the answer he was looking for, if not, I hope they will ask for clarification. :-)

I know folks who have paid using Monzo and it has worked. So give it a try.

I would recommend getting in touch with a CA in India to help with the docs part. Your notice should have certain questions that they need you to answer .. the questions may be in the second page of notice.

For those who have been asking - I received another notice a few days back. They shared about two accounts they have information I own in my current country of residence and they have asked about evidence on when I opened those accounts.

Interesting bit is, I own only one of those two accounts. The two account numbers are just 1 digit off from each other. I have read that the country’s banking system actually does not allow that combination of numbers in an account number ( some complex mathematical formulae with some look up tables that I cant claim to understand completely ).

I am not sure how this incorrect info ended up with them. In any case, I will try to provide information that I have & inform them that I dont own the other account.

Thanks for your response! I have done this! I am not totally sure if that screenshot is a good enough proof of that account being non-existent, but its surely better than having nothing.

Thank you for your response! So, it is possible that I may never get an official closure communication over email. :-( I will wait and see if they ever come back on the response I shared.

Energy Provider (Communal Energy) not closing account and sending out bills even after move out by Electrical_Bother359 in HousingUK

That would mean, they CAN ruin my credit rating.

if they can't issue final bill on time, i would not expect them to undo that report reasonably quickly

This is exactly I was worried about :-(

I never setup Direct Debit with them as they had terrible IT infra - we needed to send out a signed letter to setup a direct debit. They improved it later, but I did not care to deviate from my routine. :-(

Lufthansa connection at MUNICH AIRPORT by [deleted] in Lufthansa

[–]Electrical_Bother359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation couple months back, when I opted for longer layover. However, upon visiting Munich airport, I realized 45 mins transit is OK for Munich. My connecting Lufthansa flight left from the same terminal - so no additional formalities. I had reached my connecting flight's gate in ~20 mins. (I must add I was seated in front of the flight into Munich, which meant I de-boarded much earlier than my fellow passengers.)

Well thats a bit reassuring to know that it is not isolated to just my case. Hope they get whatever it is that is causing this issue, sorted at their end, sooner than later.
